Our family of four (two teens) booked a VRBO at this property Jan 3-10th 2023. Finding the resort was very easy using Waze, its a 10-15 minute ride from the airport. Parking and check-in were a breeze through Scott at the front office. He was very knowledgeable about the island, he assisted with finding excursions and advising on dining options during our stay. The Condo itself was fantastic! Two master suites on each end of the unit, and a spacious community area downstairs. The full kitchen was stocked including an ice maker, blender, and toaster. The lap pool is about 25 steps outside the patio door, and 75 steps further to beautiful Grace Bay beach. We enjoyed several meals from the onsite restaurant Somewhere café. There was an attendant at the beach entrance during the day distributing towels, another attendant worked the beach chairs and umbrellas that are complimentary with the rental. In the evenings, a security guard watched over the beach entrance. I should add, at no point in our entire travels over the island did we ever feel unsafe, especially while staying on the resort. The absolute highlight of our stay was Bight Reef. The water is so clean and clear, it literally feels like swimming in a fish tank. The beach side of the reef is 3-5 feet deep and teaming with aquatic life, perfect for little ones or those that are not strong swimmers. As you reach the rear of the reef, it becomes 12-20 feet deep and the number of plants and various marine life is almost indescribable. Other travelers had come from all over the world to experience this reef, which some called the best snorkeling on the island! This was a fantastic experience that we were able to repeat day after day during our stay. The Coral Gardens resort is smaller and slower-paced than some of the mega-resorts on Grace Bay. At night we would often be the only people on the beach for a couple of hours. This is definitely the perfect place to relax and leave the daily grind behind. Overall, this will absolutely go down as one of the best family vacations we have ever had!
Tips: We ordered high-quality snorkeling gear from amazon and brought it with us, worth every penny!
Our favorite dining was @ Mango Reef, Coco Bistro, and Bay Bistro
Our favorite excursions were: the Lady Grace Catamaran, a six hour exploration/lunch boat tour from Caribbean Crusin, and the clear kayaks through...
Read moreCoral Gardens unit 4201 was exceptional! The decor was so pretty, the kitchen was FULLY stocked (there are both a regular and K-cup coffee maker, there is even a pizza pan and cutting board!). Everything you want from a kitchen is there. The grocery store is near by which is super convenient. The king size bed is super comfy and I don't usually think beds are comfy when traveling. The owner of this unit even provides cable which was really nice for unwinding after my husband went to bed. The patio has furniture to sit and relax and take in that amazing view. There is even a washer and dryer in the unit we stayed (not all units had washer/dryer or cable so check on those details when you book). There are two pools on the property, there are beach towels available and in May, there were always plenty of chairs available both at the pool (which I usually had to myself) and on the beach. There are umbrellas in both locations for shade if you want it. It was nice to have Somewhere Cafe on the property. We rented a car from GBR and opted for the smallest car since it was just the two of us. That ended up being a great choice because it made it easy to zip around and park in tight spaces (it was easier to get used to driving there that expected). The staff at Coral Gardens was so nice and helped us book a couples message right in our room. The staff was also super helpful for local recommendations, an extra bed sheet when we requested it and so on. I really loved this beachfront location and I plan to go back. As of May 2025 there is a high rise condo building being built next door which is close to completion. There was occasional noise, but it did not disrupt our stay. Also, the view is so breathtaking that the construction just seems to fade away from awareness. For anyone that is mobility impaired, there are stairs going up to 2nd and 3rd floors so consider a...
Read moreUpon our arrival to the Coral Gardens office we were greeted by Vern and Tyler with their smiling faces and sense of humor. We were shown to our rooms and upon entering were amazed by how pretty it was and the beautiful view of the clear turquoise ocean. The place was spotless from the floor to the appliances.| The next morning we went out to the balcony to admire the view and also do some warm-ups for a day of snorkeling. The reason we chose Coral Gardens was because of the coral reef right outside. The snorkeling didn't disappoint. I was blown away by all the beautiful tropical fish that live on the reef. My favorite was the Queen Angel fish, so colorful as if hand-painted. I love that Coral Gardens is making an effort to keep that important reef safe and protected. Thanks also to Jerome and Moses for keeping the Beach area and white sand looking great. | We did not rent a car and did not feel the need to. We ate most of our meals at Somewhere Cafe and also at a couple other restaurants which you could walk to from the beach. We found the food at Somewhere to be delicious and fresh tasting. The Staff at Somewhere were helpful, kind and upbeat including the bartenders both downstairs and upstairs. We're not always good at remembering names but Cappy and also the beautiful lady with the purple eyeliner (she'll know who she is) were very sociable and kind. The staff seemed to be a close knit "family" who had an appreciation of being so close to the beautiful Turks and Caicos water. We also enjoyed the live music in the evening. | Want to give a shout out to Leanne who assisted us in setting up our visit and for giving some good tips. As far as the nearby construction we did not hear any noise throughout our trip. Although we had a short stay it will always be a memorable experience and hope to...
