Mixed Experience — Great Location, Inconsistent Service —————————————————————— We recently returned from a stay here and wanted to give an honest review for others considering this property — especially those booking through Costco Travel or similar services. The location is undeniably beautiful. The beach access is excellent, and the snorkeling right off the shore was a true highlight. We encountered an impressive range of marine life — from clownfish and angel fish to nurse sharks and even sea cucumbers. The beach attendant managing chairs, umbrellas, and pagodas was one of the most helpful staff members we met. When you’re able to secure the right spot, the views and ocean setting are stunning. That said, service throughout the property was inconsistent and often left us feeling like we were more tolerated than valued guests. Despite tipping regularly and generously throughout our stay, there was a noticeable difference in how certain guests were treated versus others, especially when it came to seating preferences or small requests. One disappointing example was on our final morning when we requested to sit at a bluff table with a better view. We were flatly told “no” and directed to the main restaurant area. Moments later, we watched another guest being seated exactly where we had just been denied. A passing comment from that guest referencing “breakfast is down there” added to the feeling of being quietly dismissed. Restaurant service in general was slow and lacked attention to detail — empty coffee cups were common, and we often had to follow up on simple requests multiple times. Housekeeping also seemed disengaged, at times giving the impression that skipping our room was a welcomed relief for them. In fairness, not every experience was negative. The rooms were comfortable, and the natural setting deserves credit. However, the service level did not consistently match the premium price point of the resort or the expectation of a relaxing, well-managed stay. Summary: Beautiful beach and reef directly accessible. Rooms comfortable. Service highly inconsistent. Be prepared for internal staff dynamics to affect experience. Tipping may not always equate to better service. Would consider returning, but only with more managed expectations.

Windsong is a wonderful resort. Staff are professional and friendly. They work hard to make this a positive experience. Ocean view is beautiful. They pass out cool towels when you are sitting by ocean. Free breakfast. Breakfast by pool is about $4.00. There is tip and tax in the bill. Food is really expensive. Free breakfast is in another building on 4th floor. And free by main doors at coffee shop. Fish fry is on thursdays at 5:30 at the bite. Great cultural experience. Taxi to get there. They have music art clothing. Variety of food and drinks. Van comes at 4 every day to take you to the grocery store as an option. Cobb salad at bar area by stairs and pool is fantastic. If you want a cabana, get there by 7am They fill up fast. Pictures they post on site are exactly the same in person. I forget names for staff. They are amazing. Housekeeping comes twice a day. Super helpful and kind. If there were 10 star, we would say a 10. We have 1 bedroom suite with an ocean view. Kitchen and washer dryer. We can cook and eat out. Our room is fantastic. Very comfortable bed. Everything is clean. Nice appliances in the kitchen. Big refrigerator. Room is really big. Big living room tv. Nice sized one in the bedroom. By pool with ocean view. Pool is empty by 10pm. If you are okay with some noise. Ocean view is beautiful. Air conditioning works really well. Ceiling fans. Suggest bringing water shoes. Butler can arrange events where they meet you at resort. We went on island vibes boat tour. It was amazing. Went to two islands. We could see the caribbean side and other Atlantic. They brought us to Iguana Island. Scuba diving, water slide, and diving board. Staff on boat were fantastic. They went over safety rules, patient, helpful, drinks, snacks, and light sandwich. We had the 4 hour tour. Highly recommend resort and boat tour. Hope this is helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Windsong. We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean front room (the older of the two buildings on the beach) and it was amazing. It felt even bigger than what I was expecting from the pictures online. The full kitchen was huge and perfect for our family to eat some meals in the room after we had been out on the water all day. The beach is beautiful and the small reef on the beach provides amazing snorkeling for beginners and experienced snorkelers alike. We saw a large variety of beautiful, colorful fish. I would recommend buying a cheap snorkel set off Amazon for your kids before arriving as it seemed like the ones you can rent through the hotel are older, open top style. (This is what we did as I wanted to make sure we had masks that fit properly for our excursions). You can purchase a dry snorkel and mask at very affordable prices these days and it makes snorkeling much more enjoyable in my experience. We found the hotel to be very quiet - we travelled in July though, so not peak season. The only louder evening was Saturday night because they have a DJ for an extended happy hour. The food is on the pricey side but we also bought groceries from a local supermarket (also quite expensive) and I don’t think the higher food prices were unique to this hotel. We did not go down to breakfast much as we had such a beautiful view from our hotel balcony and preferred to eat there as we had a full kitchen. Lastly, every staff member we interacted with was absolutely lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who enjoy a smaller, more boutique hotel experience.

This was our 2nd trip to Windsong (1st in 2019). We chose it then, and chose to come back, primarily for its location by Bight Reef - the only reef on Grace Bay Beach. Our family of 3 loves to snorkel and this reef was easily accessible from the beach and had lots of fish, especially if you swim beyond the end of the buoyed area to the 2 underwater ladders being used as a reef sanctuary. We again booked a 2-bedroom ocean front suite. Our room this time was beside the one we had before on the first level. Windsong had added a keypad entry to the sliding glass door to the patio which was great! We could walk off the beach to the pool area then right up on our patio into our room. The suites are very large with a full kitchen, living area, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and washer/dryer. Everything was in good working order, though the Kitchen Aid appliances were the same ones I have at home (around 12-15 years old). The only thing that really bothered me was the entry into the master bathtub. Instead of a walk-in shower like the 2nd bath, you have to step over the edge of the tub which is around 18-19 inches from the floor. The shower door is glass and there is no grab bar. This could be a major problem for anyone with mobility, knee, or balance issues or anyone of a certain age that understands how dangerous a bathroom fall could be. We booked under the returning guest's program which offered a 10% discount off the featured rate (though our stay was still 40% higher than what we paid in 2019), early check-in (didn't get there until regular check-in time), free upgrade (not available), and late checkout (we got an extra hour). We also didn't have to pay anything until a day or so before check-in. Cabs are very expensive, so we did not use them to go to restaurants. There are 2 great restaurants at the Wymara (walking distance on the beach), the Somewhere Cafe next door, and the hotel. We enjoyed Pasta night and did the Seafood Buffet one night at Windsong. Unless you're a big eater, you probably won't get your money's worth, though from the buffet. Other thoughts...the beach is very, very narrow at the Windsong. We enjoyed the included continental breakfast by the beach every morning. The items we ordered for lunch at the beach were good. There is some construction noise from the new building. Lots of Beaches guests walk from their resort to the reef to snorkel. They all have black and orange masks/snorkels. We only saw one family drop their belongings on Windsong Chairs - which they are NOT supposed to do. Very annoying! All in all, our trip was great, just like in 2019. We would...

A Family Paradise at Windsong on the Reef, Turks and Caicos

For the past eight years, my partner Angela and I have fallen deeply in love with Turks and Caicos, a sentiment that has grown stronger with each visit to Windsong on the Reef. This enchanting resort has become a significant part of our lives, thanks to its unparalleled warmth, exceptional service, and the comfort it offers to every guest. However, our most recent visit was particularly special as we decided to bring our 4-year-old along, introducing him to the beauty and serenity of this island paradise.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of magical. The staff at Windsong went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. Their friendliness, helpfulness, and generosity shone through in every interaction, making us feel truly valued and taken care of. This exceptional level of service became even more apparent when our little one had an unfortunate encounter with a bug bite, necessitating a visit to urgent care. The staff was incredibly supportive throughout the ordeal, assisting us with the necessary arrangements and continuously checking in on his recovery. Their genuine concern and efforts to ensure he was comfortable and healing well were truly touching.

The resort itself continues to impress us with its pristine beauty, luxurious accommodations, and the wide array of amenities that cater to guests of all ages. Whether it’s lounging by the pool, exploring the breathtaking reef, or simply enjoying the exquisite culinary offerings, there’s something for everyone at Windsong. Our son, in particular, was delighted by the kid-friendly activities and the opportunity to make new friends, adding another layer of joy to our family vacation.

Our bond with Turks and Caicos has been significantly strengthened by our experiences at Windsong on the Reef. The resort has not only provided us with a serene and beautiful escape from the everyday but has also shown us the true meaning of hospitality and care. We are already counting down the days until we can return to this slice of heaven on earth, eagerly anticipating our next adventure and the warm welcome that we know awaits us.

In conclusion, if you’re searching for a family-friendly paradise that promises an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, care, and luxury, look no further than Windsong on the Reef, Turks and Caicos. It’s not just a resort; it’s a home away from home where wonderful memories are made, and the spirit of true hospitality is alive and well. We cannot wait for...

Absolutely AMAAAAAZING Resort!

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we were taken care of just like Royalty. Our butler, Khalil, was very helpful and extremely dedicated to making sure that we had the best time while we stayed at the resort. When my husband really wanted to try some local food away from the resort, Khalil provided us with an amazing recommendation and also called a great taxi cab for us. Khalil also booked our parasailing excursion and our snorkelling excursion. Furthermore, Khalil ensured that on our final day, my husband could watch the World Cup while he follow up on our taxi to drive us to the airport, perfectly on time! Khalil's gracious service made our vacation so much more better because we never had to worry about to logistical planning aspects of our stay.

In terms of food, our favourite server - hands down - was Samuel at Dune Beachside Dining. Samuel was very attentive, worked hard to make sure we were always well taken care of, and even gave us some nice tidbits about Turks & Caicos, as well as its neighbouring island, Haiti. Samuel was kind, thoughtful, and helpful with recommending exactly what we might like off of the delicious Dune Beachside Dining menu. My husband and I really enjoyed chatting with Samuel daily. Samuel's disposition was friendly, accommodating, and always filled with great service. Samuel really made us feel right at home even though were far away from our home. Samuel is by far the best server I've ever experienced at a resort in the Caribbean!! He's that great!!

In conclusion, Windsong on the Reef was an absolutely amazing experience. The resort is located directly on the world-renowned Grace Bay Beach, and also comes with every single water sport that you can imagine. The resort decor is beautiful, the ambiance is relaxing, and the beach is PRISTINE! We really loved being able to snorkel on the beach just steps away from our hotel room. We also really loved the unique experience to parasail and snorkel and visit Iguana Island!

This was our first trip to Turks & Caicos and it definitely won't be our last! We had such an amazing time and we also made some beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!!! Thank you Samuel, Khalil, and the rest of your amazing Windsong on the Reef staff for giving my husband and I the vacation of our dreams! We really needed that amazing vacation and we really REALLY...
