Man, this place is so good. Not only is it right on the beach for easy midday drink breaks, but the food and people are great! Servers were always nice, and had great recommendations for us as well. We had pina coladas and strawberry coladas for drinks most days, and they were tasty. The first day, we had ground beef nachos and really enjoyed them. The next visit we got lobster tacos; again really good. The NEXT day we got the fish ceviche (conch ceviche wasn't available), and it was outstanding! I'm not a big seafood fan, but kept going back for more. Really fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend. And on our last day, I got the Dirty Fries and the wife ordered the fish sandwich. Both were...hold on my mouth is watering... Both were amazing. So much flavor to those fries. Pulled pork, peppers and onions, jalapenos, cheese, bbq sauce. Huge flavor bomb. The fish sandwich was equally great (again, coming from a typically land-food-only guy). The slaw was on point, and the breading was light and flaky, really letting the flaky fish fillet shine. I had one bite and was surprised at how much I liked it. Ended up going back for 4 more after my wife had eaten all she could. Though we didn't eat breakfast here, we did come one day right at the end of breakfast, and the pancakes I saw looked fluffy and huge. Looking forward to trying them next trip! Highly recommend this place any...
Read moreWe stayed at the Windsong which is a stones throw from Somewhere when walking on the beach. The first night we walked over there they were busy and we could tell it was a bustling place. They have a main level with bar and tables for eating along with a second level. Their food is labeled as Tex-Mex and it is delicious. I am not sure if they add some local spice but we had the fish tacos, chicken fajitas and beef tacos over 2 evenings. We additionally had their rum cake and brownie for desserts. The portions are generous so have an appetite when you go. I would recommend going to Somewhere if it is possible during your stay on TC. The first night we ate on the main level and it was enjoyable but if you want eat early, go to the second level and enjoy a nice sunset while having a great dinner. Our bartender was Junior both nights and he was awesome. Not your typical person behind the bar. He engaged and talked to you as he made drinks for others. He even told us to see his cousin who bartends at the upstairs bar at the airport. The management makes sure your experience is very positive. We met Janet who is the general manager and she has a great crew to back her up and it shows across the board. If we could grab Junior and Janet for up in Wisconsin, we would! Overall this is a hidden gem on the beach that gives you some traditional TexMex but not overpriced like many of the...
