Pearl On The Nile Hotel — Hotel in Jinja

Two of us booked into the hotel as a turn up guests, the build was opened in 2016 and the final restaurant / conference centre not completed. Breakfast was served in a lower floor room with the food being brought down from a kitchen above. The plumbing did not work properly as the balance tap would not go over to the hot. The staff were willing but did show competence. The second morning at breakfast we received breakfast without asking our order - they expected us to eat the same as the morning before. Then it was not complete. No seats in the garden. No insect gauze over windows that were too high up too close. The railway track ran close to the rear of the building where our room was. It woke us up as the train was very heavy and noisy - passing slowly by it lasted a time!||We checked out after two nights, would have stayed four. Better value...

Seems to be from the better options in the area. The air conditioner system (which is a rarity in the Jinja area) was very loud and right outside the window keeping me up. The power also went on and off numerous times between 4-8 AM, each time waking me up. They also couldn't find my prepaid reservation and made me pay again. WiFi was spotty at best and the hot water didn't seem to exist at all, let alone any pressure. Overall it wasn't actually too bad although at the price you may find...

It is still under construction (as of the review) but it has a great ambience with plenty of greenery and a flowered walkway. The swimming pool is still under construction.

Their rooms are spacious, with amazing views and they give bottled water on the room. They have warm water but finding where to turn the heater in from can be a tag of war!
