I stayed here a couple of nights, one of them by coercion. It's thursday, I pack up my belongings, take of the bed linen and sheet, and return my keycard with the used bed linen and sheet (as per their rule, you have to put in on yourself too). When I go to the reception to check out, the receptionist tells me I already paid for another day, I felt quite sure that I only booked one day, but it was possible that I indeed had booked multiple days, but to make absoluty sure that there wasn't a language barrier I ask him multiple times if he is sure that I had paid for thursday to friday aswell. He is absolutly sure and we go through what bed I am in, my name etc. Confident about the booking I go back to the room, lock my things inside the locker underneath the bed and go on with my day. I return at midnight, when the curfew in Lviv begins. I go to my room, unlock the door, go to my bed and to my surprise there's a guy in the bed. We were both very surprised, to put it midly. Both our cards had the same room number and bed.

At reception I am told, that my booking isn't for thursday-friday, and I am asked, if I would like to make a reservation. One would think, that they acknowledge the mistake and find me an empty bed and that's the end. But sure, I would like to make and pay for a reservation - especially since it's illegal to go outside after midnight in Lviv because of wartime, so I am kind of stuck here for the night... I get another room at full price, get to the room, find the bed, but someone already locked the locker. I figured that maybe someone made a mistake and I just take the one next to it, but this one is full with items. Alright. Maybe I just leave my stuff on the floor, don't want to make to much noise and wake up the people whom are sleeping. But the poweroutlets are filled with another persons stuff too. I go to the reception again... I get another room, I go to my 3rd room this night, use the keycard to open the door, find my bed and there is already someone sleeping in it. I go to the reception for the 4th time this night, I get another new room and bed, this time I get a bed without anyone else in it and nobody is using my assigned locker.

This whole ordeal is beyond absurd, and I even contemplated whether or not I should post my experience - because I didn't want the receptionist to get into trouble.

As I am writing this, my roommates are snoring loudly. Which is hardly the hostels fault. The fact that I can easily see that people have been to the toilet is hardly the hostels fault either, I'm sure the person(s) cleaning are doing their best too. One of the things about the hostel that is nice is that the beds have a curtain, it doesn't go all the way, but it gives you like 70-80 percent privacy.

Towels cost extra, slippers cost extra...Basically everything you can imagine will cost extra and if you want dry hands after washing them you have to be really good at shaking them vigourosly. The showers had decent waterpressure, but remember to bring...

This is an excellent hostel. Clean, central good location near the main square. Staff were all efficient and mostly (but not always) friendly. Hot water and Internet always worked (except on one occasion). Friendly atmosphere in the communal area. Some residents have been there a long time and keep coming back. Just a couple of niggles:|- one evening, a group of Poles took over the communal area and got very drunk and loud. The staff did not stop them.|- the central heating in our private bedroom did not work and it was cold. Staff said that this was because the city council decided when the heating was switched on.||Now for that bad experience. ||I was travelling with a Korean friend. We checked out and I was waiting to leave for our next accommodation. About 11.30 am, my friend appeared while I was waiting and accompanied by a member of staff who said that we both had to leave the premises instantly and that my reservation for dorm beds in a week's time had been cancelled. Apparently, my friend - who occasionally has paranoid delusions- had scared a young Korean by telling him that Koreans had been kidnapped in the UK. The young Korean was going to cancel his reservation. I tried to persuade the Korean that this was a good hostel and that he should not cancel; I don’t know if I succeeded.||The way I was treated rankles. I have stayed in this hostel on several occasions and would have been happy to stay there in future. But I was thrown out into the cold and barred in future, despite having done nothing wrong. And the way my Korean friend was treated was an...

We arrived during the busy hours. Out of my surprise, the reception girl named Anatasia (The one in gray shirt, to the right of the picture i uploaded) asked my friend in English with strong accent several times "how old am I". Even my friend feel weird why she asked him for my age instead of asking me directly. Then she was just keep talking to another girl for like 20 mins and we were waiting and she didn't even tell us should I wait for her or another receptionist. The receptionist that checked us in named Tanya is very nice and cute and get us checked-in in 10mins. By the time we left the reception the other receptionist still talking and talking to the girl in black shirt for 2 hrs. The picture I posted was after I went up to the room and took a shower and it is like after 2 hrs from I checked-in. She was still talking to the girl in black shirt. I used to work at a hostel reception and I know exactly how it works and nothing should be taken longer than 20 mins for any kinds of situation unless it involved police. Also she looks like 16 yrs old is it even legal for her to work there? 😂

Other than this everything was great. I would have given a 5-star if what I mentioned above was...

Had an excellent stay here in a 4 bed mixed dorm. The hostel is in a very convenient location, almost right on Rynok Square. There is a cafe next door (sort of attached) which you can get a 20% discount at for staying at Dream. The beds are good, featuring curtains, a light, outlets, plenty of storage, and large lockers. My only complaint about the bed is that on the bottom bunk, the curtain doesn't extend into the ladder, so everyone walking into the room could still see straight into my area. The bathrooms were solid as well, with the shower being nice and having shelving, and the bathroom as a whole had lots of hooks and bars to hang stuff, which was much appreciated. The lounge/kitchen area was nice. Lots of comfy seating and a couple of desk seats with lamps and outlets which was very convenient for my remote work. Most of the staff at the front desk spoke English and were happy to help with any questions I had.

Super modern new hostel with everything that a traveller and tourist needs. Privacy beds in the dorms, 24 hours reception, onsite bar and restaurant, massive kitchen and lounge area, amazing wifi. The have a host every day that makes sure solo traveller get to know each other by organising games and nights out. I could not fault this is anyway for the prices it's one of the best places that I have stayed around the world.
