This place is great. The pearl in Lviv's crown. It's not easy to find if you're just following the map, so it certainly helped that I know someone in Lviv. And its location doesn't prevent it from being busy or popular. I can definitely see why. I wasn't in Lviv for a long time, so I didn't dine out much, but when I come again, I will definitely come here again. The food was excellent, very tasty and much better than what I am used to in restaurants in England and for the price I would eat there every day if I could. I am very pleased that I experienced traditional Ukrainian dishes here, I was so full after the meal that I didn't even have room for dessert. It's a shame, because all the desserts looked great.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, when I told the waiter I wasn’t Ukrainian he switched immediately to English and he was even patient with my primitive attempts to speak Ukrainian with him.
The menu is accessed via a QR code on the table, which then becomes a payment method when you've finished your meal. England is so far behind.
If you’re reading this review and you’ve read some others that criticise the food or the way it’s cooked, pay no attention. Give this place a try. You can’t come to Ukraine and then criticise Ukrainians for using their methods in order to cook their food.

Read moreThe worst experience we had in Lviv during our trip in May 6th 2021. Very long service, I waited for ukranian polushki for 50 minutes. If you don't specify that you need all dishes served at the same time while ordering, you risk to wait for hours while another person is eating in front of you. Our couple ordered 3 different dishes and all of them were brought separately in different moments so each time one person was eating whereas another person was staring at the empty plate as a full. We decided to cancel the last dish as we were tired and didn't want to eat anymore . The waitress was rude and refused to cancel it and made us pay a full price for freaking polushki we didn't even touch to. The staff's never heard about the rule that the customer is always right. Such a shame for Lviv.
We'll be in Lviv in a large group with our friend in July and we initially wanted to show them this specific restaurant. Noway after this disastrous experience! Never ever I step inside. I don't recommend this place. The service is awful, the food is not good, it's absolutely not worth for what you pay. Fortunately there are many good other restaurants in Lviv. So don't waste your time in Kryivka, avoid useless disappointment you can get there and go...
Read moreThe original idea is obviously good. Quite exotic entrance procedure and very long exciting exiting. But menu is a bit too short as for my liking.
Pierogi has only one filling, which is disappointing. Galician mushroom soup has noodles in it instead of potatoes which is downright shocking. Black pudding has much more buckwheat, than blood and not sure it was mentioned in description. Borscht was actually good. That's pleasing, as there's less of good borscht in Lviv each year. Salo is perfect - you cannot spoil it easily anyway. Horseradish sauce is divine.
Plates and utensils match overall military theme, but i would fancy smth nicer at least for desserts.
Entertainment is weak and monotonous. Even though place was crowded in my visit. Some lady sang songs. Three of them. Twice for the hour i was there. Playlist consists of 5 tracks in total. It also played at least twice during our stay.
Place is kinda worth one visit. At least for the borscht sake. But i'd not recommend to get upset in case...
