Apartments Irena is a newly renovated small hotel located a short walk from the main train station in Lviv. While initially it was hard to find, it's actually in a great location for train and bus travellers. Storozhenka is a very quiet street and it takes about fifteen minutes if you're walking to get into the centre, on a straight line down one of the main roads. The advantage is you will pay less (about 28 Euros a night for my single) and the walk is a pleasant one. I much prefer a short walk to the train when I'm carrying bags. ||||The staff are friendly and eager to help, and while their English skills aren't the best they get the job done. The breakfast is a fixed menu but, by Eastern European standards (which can be dire), each day's breakfast was tasty and worth sticking round the hotel. The rooms are surprisingly spacious. The hotel does not have proper sound isolation, so it's pretty noisy and hard to sleep. Besides, we were not even given the room we paid for: instead of two beds, we had two mini-couches, extremely small and uncomfortable. The staff is rude and indifferent, reluctant to do anything: we had to drag two forty-pound suitcases to the fourth floor, and no one offered any help!
I will not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many other places around, so it's not worth making the...

There's some special atmosphere here.||Rooms are not very big, but you have everything you need. There's a nice restaurant downstairs as well. I've been staying in this hotel many times. It's close to the train station, but a bit hidden in blocks, so you don't hear trains at all. And the main benefit - the staff. They are...
