Gagarinn — Hotel in Odesa Urban Hromada

We rented two rooms on the eighth floor. We were six people and it’s our opinion about Gagarin hotel. We explored three weaknesses and three advantages.

Weaknesses

❌ Smoking stench.

In the evening it smells like somebody did smoke over there. It happened at our two rooms and it seemed smoke came from air-pile in the toilet. I have an assumption smoke comes from either the adjoining rooms or the casino located on the same floor. Wherever it came, that was disgusting to feel smoke at our apartments.

❌ Loud at night.

At night it’s too loud at room apartments because there are night parties nearby the hotel. That lasted until about 1 or 2am and it was difficult to fall asleep.

❌ Client-service.

We came from another city and gave a “trust-credit” to this hotel. We injured and asked an administrator at the reception where we could find a nearest place to make a X-Ray of a leg. Instead of helping us, the administrator said she didn’t know and we should have use Google to find something. She hadn’t even given a try to help us. Just didn’t care. Besides, the next morning we came to the restaurant for a breakfast. The administrator, in stead of greeting us and saying “good morning”, started off hurrily inquiring our room number and checking where that breakfast had been included into our trip. It hadn’t been hence we did pay without any problem. However the administrator did show no-friendly attitude by her manner of speaking to us. I must note that a barman and a waiter were pleasant.

Advantages:

✅ Neat rooms

There are great rooms with everything we needed.

✅ Location

It’s located nearby Arcadia embankment. The beach is pretty close whereas you can reach city center by taxi within 15 minutes.

✅ Restaurant

The dishes we were served are delicious for the appropriate price. Both breakfast and lunch were appreciated...

فندق زباله والموظفين اسوء من السيء فنادق اخرى انظف Very, very bad hotel, not worthy of a star. Reception is bad, indifferent to the guest, disrespectful to the guest, and deals barbarously. There is a person who is supposed to carry the bags, but this person is very, very annoying, asking for money and standing at the door of the hotel and disturbing the guests! Is this a baggage clerk or a beggar!? The room is very bad and the bathroom smells very bad. I lived in 1000 hotels around the world. I did not find a hotel dirtier than this. I will tell friends and post it online about this hotel.

I didn't believe the reviews written about the hotel until I saw it with my own eyes!! This is not a litter box hotel and the staff are begging for money from the guests!! The reception is bad and there is no manager to blame for...

The elevators, taking an average of 15 timed responses to the button being pressed, was 4.4 minutes. For an elevator. The day of my checkout I had to wait for 12 minutes and ended up taking my luggage down several flights of stairs as the elevator was full and I didn't fancy waiting another 10 minutes+ for the possibility of another full elevator to cause me to miss my flight. ||||After moving room on the second night due to a sewage smell coming from the bathroom, I though the Wi-Fi might also be better in a different area. I was wrong, and I still had no internet for the entire trip, relying on my phone as a hot spot.||||The only decent aspect you could garner from the expirece was reliable housekeeping, but even that's a stretch to suggest a basic hotel service was the best part of...
