Purpose of trip: 1st time to dubai celebrating an old friend's birthday. Enjoyed our stay in Ritz Carlton Desert Resort prior to checking in Bvlgari Resort Dubai

Why Bvlgari Dubai: Stayed in Beijing Bvlgari during 2019 & the superb services rendered during the trip by the butler allocated to us left us a good memory& assurance to the Bvlgari brand and quality offered. Hence, wanted to try Bvlgari Dubai resort.

Before the trip: Got in touched with the customer service through Whatsapp. Notified that it will be a birthday celebration & requested for two beach bag and birthday arrangements. Very professional support provided and experienced an extension from the Beijing Bvlgari services. Thanks to the team.

During the check-in process: Alighted from the car, the reception collected our passports and invited us to the lounge for welcome drink and some snacks. Waited from 12:58am-13:10pm when the tea we ordered are served. Then close to 14:00pm, a staff from Bvlgari approached us. The whole process took close to more than an hour... The first sentence she introduced herself as a staff who only serves guests with a China nationality. We were very shocked as she was holding to our passports which clearly mentioned that we have no affiliation to China nationality at all. We are not against China nationality but we are proud to be citizens of our own country which we are born and bred in. Then she asked if we can speak in Mandarin, which we mentioned we can but we are not well versed in it as our national language is English. Then she asked for a deposit payment, where I provided my credit card. After the transaction went through, she asked a question that we couldn't relate to. She asked can I have a document of your credit card's expiration date. Isn't the expiry date of all credit card printed onto the card itself? It was the first time we were asked for a document to show such information... Then she asked us to wait for awhile and came back with our room cards with a printed mandarin copy of the hotel facilities introduction, which we told her that we could barely understand. She said there's no English copy, which was quite unprofessional for an international hotel. Anyway, she left us to go to our room without sharing on the breakfast information and etc. Then I approached her for a guide towards the premise and etc, which she then did showed us to our room and explained about the facilities and amenities.

The corridor into the room: There's a musty smell which I believe is coming from the carpet.

Arranging for breakfast: We arranged for breakfast at 9am but the breakfast only arrived in our room at 9:15am...the staff who helped to set up our breakfast asked how's our stay and did we went to other Bvlgari hotels before. We said yes we did went to the Beijing one pre-covid and we felt that it was better over there than our experience here. He made a comment it must be because you are from China. As an international hotel, shouldn't the staff be briefed about the guests profile and not all Asians are from China. We were asked to sign a 675Aed receipt after the breakfast was set up, but he said anyway it is complimentary with every room bookings just a form of assurance that breakfast has been served to us, which I signed off then.

During check-out: Check out was smooth. The staff asked for the feedback on how was our stay, we gave the feedback and they said they will do an investigation. He asked about the room and we provided him with the photos we took on the room as attached in our review here.

Overall: Not a typical Bvlgari experience. Pretty disappointed for the amount we have paid for just to experience this kind of holiday while the intention is to relax and celebrate...

The hotel facilities are good, and they are very suitable for taking pictures, but the service is not as good as the legend says. The white waiters have a sense of superiority and do not take the guests' needs seriously. They may think that Asian tourists are easy to fool. List a few uncomfortable places:1. What I was most looking forward to before leaving was the Bulgari Hotel. I made a reservation for a long time before booking. I made a note of my honeymoon trip with my husband. When I was waiting for the room, I paid my credit card deposit and signed various signatures. After waiting for a long time, I finally entered the room. The result was There were three welcome cards in the room, all of which only had my husband's name written on them, as if this honeymoon had nothing to do with me. I was even more speechless when I saw the business card on the bedside. I only put the business card with my husband's name on it, but there was no one. Prepare a business card for me. I can’t imagine that the Bulgari Hotel is so sexist? Only one person is welcome on the honeymoon? When I got angry and went to the front desk to question, the answer I got was, oh, do you need a business card? We can make one for you and add the name on the card. Not a word of apology was received. They explained that they only wrote the name of the person who made the reservation. I said it was me who made the reservation, but the white guy was speechless.2. Don’t go to the hotel front desk to call a taxi here. The hotel doesn't seem to have a dedicated butler. When I went out with my husband, I wanted to call a taxi. The front desk staff said that this is a private island, so they can't call a taxi, but a Lexus. The price to go to the old town is about 110 dirhams, because it will be charged to the account. To save trouble, I asked the front desk to call, but after waiting for a quarter of an hour in the lobby, no one came. Fortunately, the front desk canceled the call because he didn't come. Then I used Careem to call a taxi from Lexus. It was right at the door. It seemed that it only cost more than 40 dirhams. Fast and cheap.3. Because I really like mini beach bags, I expressed to different housekeepers and service staff that I wanted a small beach bag. The answers I got were strictly no, it can only be given to children. Before leaving, my husband called and expressed his desire again. Once, the phone ended up hanging up. Generally speaking, when a hotel cannot meet the needs of guests, it will be very sincere or try to find ways to compromise. However, I have not seen any sincerity from the hotel. This is why I think the Bulgari Hotel is seriously over-reputed. . Compared with many hotels of the same level, it's not even a star. All in all, it's okay to take photos at the hotel, but the service can't keep up, so it's recommended to lower your...

Yesterday 13th March 2025, I went to have iftar at Bulgari Majlis. It was the worst experience I had. The only one that really deserved 10/10 is desserts section from quality, taste, and diversity perspectives. Also they gave us a 20% discount voucher to shop from the shopping store next to the Yacht Harbor. However the following are the reasons why I said bad experience! 1- Too crowded, there is no space between tables, and they placed us in a table not match the usual tables and chairs that known by Bulgari hotel theme. 2- We were fasting, they didn’t serve us with Arabic coffee and we had to ask for this many times. 3- The service was too bad the workers not trained well to serve people and smile in our faces unfortunately they were rude and not serving us as they should. Besides that, each time we request something from one server he will assign what we asked to someone else or we had to ask another one to serve as. 4- There was no tissues on the table and I had to ask for this many times until I spoke with the manager. Same to provide me with side table or at least holder for my bag, no one gave it to me. 5- We paid 530 AED per person, I was expecting fancy iftar with Bulgari tableware, unfortunately, only the soup and the charger plates were from Bulgari, the remaining were maybe from somewhere else. Even the drinking ware. I was very sad that I didn’t had my cappuccino in Bulgari drinking ware, in the previous majlis they were serving people with it. 6- The food menu was very limited! Even the salad section it was unbelievable!!! Further I understood that people can make a mess while they are serving them self, but there was no fast response to replace the empty salad bowls and to clean the mess. 7- One of the worst things, we smelled like grilles! Because they were grilling a lot of food and the smoke was going to our side and between all the food section!!!! 8- The rest room was too crowded, too old, one of the doors lock was not working, and it was too basic not like the rest room inside the hotel main lobby. They should think about this at the end all these facilities are inside Bulgari Resort! Each year I go for Iftar in different hotels in Dubai, I never had a bad experience like this one. I was very disappointed, and I will never go there again and I can’t even recommend this to anyone.

Horrible experience, I wanted to celebrate special family memory so I took my 2 kids for afternoon tea at the hotel, as we were all wearing Emirati atelier we were very rudly received, the valet driver is telling me " Mam there is a minimum spend of 200!!!" First I don't think it's his job, second just because I am wearing a vail dose not give anyone the right to think I am a begger!!! At the lobby no one is even looking at me let alone Greeting us! We went on and sat on the sofa waiting for service, the hostess came and her first words were there is a minimum spend of 200 per person if you will sit here!!!! Insane, seriously, if I don't want to pay why in the world I will be here??? What is the idea this hotel is giving thier staff about UAE nationals? My son being so annoyed at this attitude, asked for the menu and wanted to order a cold drink, no one was available for literally 40 mins!! The massage we got " finish your food and pay the minimum spend of 200 per person, and never come back"!! Which will will, as my children were aware of the rudeness of everyone and told me never to bring them again!! Also, I saw 4 or 5 tables with people sitting without even ordering anything, for the whole time we were there, like almost 2 hours and I wonder if they were told about the minimum spend of 200 per person? Very unpleasant day, turned our celebration to tension and hope everyone consider twice before choosing this place
