Il Cafe BVLGARI Resort Dubai — Restaurant in Dubai

Very disappointed with the: -customer service ( if you are late 5 min they will make you feel bad for that) -food ( not so great for their BRAND) how they treat us on our special occasion ( BVLGARI does not care about his customers, dry service , no empathy, no desire to take the service at the next level even with the small things)

I booked a table for dinner on December 23rd 2022, 8pm for my girlfriend birthday.

We arrived 5 minutes late, thing that the guy sitting at the reception ( forgot his name but I guess Italian, long hair) did not hesitate to tell me

,, You are late 5 minutes!,,

I found that extremely disrespectful but I refused to give any comments, faked a smile and continued with our dinner.

!!!!! The thing that bothered me the most was that even though i mentioned clearly that is my girlfriend birthday, they did not bothered at all to make the night a little special !!! ( all was needed was a sincere wish of Happy Birthday from their side and a candle over the cake) !!!

They have an amazing Italian band (cheers to them) that sings at every table. At one point, they started singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY for one of the waitresses there, part of their staff in front of all the guests at the restaurant, but - AND HERE COMES THE CHERRY ON TOP - they did not even bothered to come and send the band to our table. No band and no staff tried to come and sing or at least wish my girlfriend HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

The rude tall waiter that welcome us came with a cake in his hand ( which I ordered and paid for btw) without even having a candle and he said ,, this is for your birthday!,, and he left. That was all!!

IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES EVER AS I FELT VERY BAD FOR HOW THEY TREAT US, ESPECIALLY COMING FROM A BRAND LIKE BVLGARI!

Being at a italian restaurant in one of the best hotel resorts in Dubai - Bvlgari, the expectations when it comes to food we’re high… maybe too high I guess because the food was not that great at all ( we had some pastas). To be honest I wanted to try more of their menu but my appetite was gone once I felt their lack of care about us.

They tried to make us feel better by giving us 2 cheap cocktails and 2 candies like we were 2 kids at kindergarten.

Once again, very disappointed with the experience I had at IL...

Very bad experience with the receptionist (Hasna from Morocco). I had a reservation for 6.15pm and requested an outdoor table for 2 people close to the water/marina and I have the email confirmation so assumed all is good. I arrived at 6.05pm (10 mins before my reservation) and this lady (Hasna) said “we called you to reconfirm your reservation but you didn’t answer so the seat allocation has changed and we will give priority to other guests”. I asked if this means that they cancelled my reservation? Because I haven’t and I’m not even late so why is that case.. The outdoor area was literally empty and she was insisting on giving me a table at the dark corner or a sofa for the shisha (and I don’t even smoke). She said these are the only tables that she can offer and that’s “their” policy. I mentioned that I’m not happy with either and would still prefer to sit by the water as there are multiple tables available. She gave me a side eye and said that I can speak to the manager if I don’t like the situation.

Sorry? What’s all that about? And why? Never had such an attitude in a five star hotel and in DUBAI? The manager was so nice and ended up giving me a nice table but after waiting for ~10 mins of unnecessarily negotiations.

This was really rude, unprofessional and so unnecessary! Also, if that’s a policy, then they should make it clear in a note in the reservation email.

The service in general is slow and pretty average. Not a Bulgari standard at all..

The best thing about this place and the only thing I’ll be coming back to is the pizza. The pizza...

From the moment we stepped into the Bvlgari Resort Dubai for our birthday breakfast, we were enveloped in an ambience that was simply divine. The setting is truly breathtaking, with a serene and sophisticated atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at ease. It's the kind of place where you can genuinely relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings, making it perfect for a special occasion.

And the breakfast itself? Absolutely superb! The spread was incredible, with a huge variety of delicious options, all beautifully presented. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality, from the pastries to the hot dishes. It was a true culinary treat that added so much to our celebration.

But what truly elevated our experience, and made our day so incredibly easy and enjoyable, was the exceptional service from a staff member named Harry. Seriously, Harry went above and beyond! He was so attentive, friendly, and just genuinely made us feel so welcome. It felt like he anticipated our every need, making sure everything ran smoothly and effortlessly for our birthday celebration. His professionalism and warm demeanor really stood out and made a significant difference.
