It’s absolutely a place underrated in Dubai that I’m surprised to see 3.9 on Google. We have been travelled around the world visiting those fancy gastronomy, and this place has not disappointed us in any. The major figure in the kitchen and service are originally Italian so you could be sure they won’t cheat themselves for a terrible pasta or a badly cooked food. You could easily recognise their authentic resource of ingredients and discover their excellent cellar. Be careful, the taxe of alcohol is awfully high in dubai, so the price of bottles could be heavy. The view face to the harbour somehow makes you calm and relax, the magic of water. Oh service, my favorite part, we were cared by 3-4 staff in different manners by handling and presenting the plats, answer questions, introducing the wine pairings. The welcoming passion of Italians are fully demonstrated at our lovely nights which so quickly made us feel like home. We stayed for 6 nights, and we through 2 nights here from 8pm until they “push” us out. We spent so much good moment there. So hey you, if you have any doubt about whether you shall have a try, you SHOULD go. It would be a heart broken bill, but a wonderful evening to highlight your Dubai souvenir. Ps, we have successfully persuaded few friends to go and all of them were happy and grateful. 100% satisfaction of recommendation ✨✨

We have chosen Il Ristorante to celebrate my birthday. Amazing and quiet location with elegant interior. The staff is the absolute highlight of the whole experience at Il Ristorante. They have explained the menu and dishes in detail with lot of knowledge. The freshly baked bread basket and bruschetta that they offer you prior are just delicious. Pastas are superb and definitely worth trying. Veal Milanese is made accordingly to the tradition, absolutely fantastic. We were a bit disappointed with the fish as it was bland and came rather cold. Michelin stars aside for this price point our expectations towards food were so much higher. Overall beautiful place with great service and tasty dishes. Perfect setting for a romantic dinner, I would not recommend it for kids. 🍝 🍝 🍝

Yesterday I was at the bar counter and ordered a drink. They asked me to pay before the drink, a little bit rude, but it’s ok. I felt at McDonald’s, you pay first, then you wait your turn. At least MC you wait less. I payed in cash, I am old fashion guy 😎. My change never came back. I asked 2 times to cross-check and no reply came back from the counter. After not enjoying my night with friends I asked at the cashier (the only one take it seriously) clarifications and she solved the issue politely, thanks for that. The frustration came from the fact that I must decided IF and HOW MUCH tips I wanna give, not the opposite! It was the 1st time in Dubai in 5 years! I always being satisfied by 5star hotel services in Dubai, but not this time. I worked on the other side of the counter and I know it might be tiring and hard, therefore a Monday night is not as crowded brunch. Value your customer is a must! I was excited and had high hopes for this place, but worried we had a big lunch at Tresind earlier. On a weekend, lots of empty tables, which is never a good sign. Due to being still full from lunch, we decided on ordering the anti pasto for two, and was going to order main entrees and pasta dishes afterwards, based on how much more we can eat. Not even sure how this place obtained a Michelin star. Service was great, but the food is plain, uninspiring, and the taste profile was just not there. For example, what 2 Michelin star restaurant is going to serve asparagus with cheese without some creativity?? The squid was soft, slimy, and lacked texture. Meatballs were not good. Only thing that was great were the oysters. We were happy we didn’t order anything else, and left earlier than planned. For folks coming to Dubai, please skip this restaurant until they get their act together. Save your time, and go to Tresind Studio, Trescind, or Moonrise for impeccable service and a true culinary experience.

I am honestly shocked this place has Michelin stars - no disrespect to the chef or the original in Italy but I found a few things odd. Apart from the fact that I found the food extremely over priced for what it was, the spaghetti pomodoro came cold… which was bizarre because it’s their signature dish and probably the most basic. I had the fish in lemon caper sauce, which came with *hot* lettuce in the same sauce atop the fish - it is described that way on the menu and for some reason I was hoping it would be different bc hot lettuce was weird lol so that’s on me! They served this amazing tomato gazpacho and the desserts were delicious… Really enjoyed their Negroni and bar snacks too… they had a delicious bread with ricotta and anchovies which was yum! Next time would just visit for those and avoid the exorbitant tab on average food.
