I am now into my third stint as a long-term guest at First Central, and consistently return due to the positive experiences of the past. The place and the staff have served me well in general and it is a great option as a base for someone who works remotely and consistently on the move. The locality has convenient connectivity/transport options and presence of useful service establishments within walking distance. Not much has changed at the hotel since I stayed the last time, this includes the interior and facilities of the room; they can seem dated to some (old sofas and TV), however don't fall short in any way. While there are some new faces at reception, they have always been professional and helpful. The staff at the concierge always go out of their way to help in any scenario and do not forget a familiar face. The cleaning staff are also efficient and consistent with their work. The sales department have ever-changing members and do not seem to be as engaging as before. Keeping in mind the continual high demand, they almost seem to have the attitude that if you do not end up agreeing the terms they offer straight up, someone else will regardless of your positive history and loyalty with the place before. All in all, the positives outweigh the slight negatives, and you get a satisfactory overall experience as a long-term guest which is why it remains my preferred choice in the city.||My favorite part of the hotel by far is its café/restaurant known as Beastro as quite often half of my weekday ends up getting spent there. The breakfast package is absolutely bang for the buck for long-term guests, while the ala-carte menu offers the correct variety and balance. Every item I have tried is cooked in a way that you can instantly feel that quality is a factor strongly considered. The space is somewhat critical to me as it is my prime spot to get work done, and their great coffee helps with the productivity. The music list has finally been updated and elevated the vibe. All of this is made possible by the heartwarming hospitality offered by the well-trained bubbly staff. I have known some of them like Talha, Rustam, and Jenny from my time before. They recognized me instantly when I got back and since then have always made me feel like I was back home. All of this is a testament to their wonderful manager Joan who leads by example every single day from the early hours of the morning till the evening, and always goes the extra mile to make sure that the service is up to a high standard. It is evident to see that her team feeds off her positive energy and they make a very professional and...
Read moreFirst Central was our first hotel after arriving here in Dubai. We stayed here for a month and interacted with a few staff members on a regular basis.
Rooms: 5 stars While I'm not a big fan of their bulky furnitures (only because it was so hard to move the couch and coffee table when my kids lost their small toys lol), their rooms were complete and were enough to 'survive'. They provide a washing machine, a stove, dining plates, drinking glasses, a pot, a pan, cooking utensils, a knife, some cutlery and coffee mugs. If you're staying long term, it doesn't come with free breakfast. But you can have you're room cleaned and have your beddings changed twice a week (you set the schedule). We have an amazing view in the living room area, as well as from the bedroom (photo included).
Service: 5 stars The moment we arrived at First Central, we were immediately greeted by Aldrin. He helped us with our bags, and even offered apple juice for the kids while the adults were dealing with check-in stuff. The staff in charge of keeping our room tidy was Shiva. He did a great job cleaning the hotel rooms and bathrooms, replaced the towels with clean ones, replenished the coffee/tea, and toilet paper.
There are 3 lifts available and we never experienced it to be busy. The longest we had to wait was 3 minutes or so.
Location: 5 stars We were close to everything! There was a playground 5 minutes away. There were plenty of supermarkets to choose from. We frequented Carrefour (8 mins away), Westzone (10 mins away; for non-Muslims, they sell pork items here), Safest Way (5 mins away, right across the playground). There was also a nearby mosque and a nearby basketball/volleyball court. The nearest Metro station would be Dubai Internet City -- this was a 15-minute walk. Although you'll walk inside the airconditioned walkways, I feel that 15 minutes is quite a walk especially if you have kids.
Checking out wasn't as fast as I expected it to be. They of course checked the room if there was anything broken, etc. But once the rooms were 'cleared', front desk personnel didn't even inform us that we can go. :/ I guess that's something they can improve on.
Also another thing I'd like for them to reconsider is for them to allow a family of 5 to stay in one room. I understand they have a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children per room, but our youngest one is still co-sleeping which meant the other room we booked was literally empty. I just used it as a drying room for clothes instead. But nobody...
Read moreI can really recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good quality and price one.
We have spent a great time in this hotel. The room was clean and everything what we needed we had. ( kettle, washing machine, microwave, fridge and freezer.) We wanted a cozy accommodation with a good quality and price balance and if you look for the same then this hotel is for you too!!! Metro station is really close; 5 minutes by walking, there are 3 shops , restaurants, pharmacy. You must try "Happy home" place. They have a really good menu with really cheap prices. We ate there every day something and we were not sick because of the food. We loved chicken biryani, prawns noodles etc. Hotel has its own shop as well but it is a bit more expensive than in the nearby shops. Water cots there only 5,5 AED / 5 liter. On the 30rd floor if the hotel is a nice swimming pool. The water is a bit cold so we only enjoyed it during the day. After 6 PM it was too cold to use it. Maybe when the weather is hotter it will be OK. On this floor you can find the gym as well. Towels are provided by the hotel. We got every day some bottle of waters, coffee, tee, sugar. In the bathroom there were soap, shampoo. A huge thanks to Ratendra, Abudbulla and Khalid who did everything for us to have a clean hotel room. They were really nice and did a good job. We were statisfid with it. All of the hotel staffs were really nice and we felt really welcome. We did not have any issues. We really enjoyed our time there. If you want to enjoy a private beach in Dubai and avoiding the crowded beach then you can go to a 5* hotel. First central has a partnership and if you take a taxi (around 50 AED \ route) then you can enjoy it. You get sunbed, towel, parasol for free. There is a shower and toilet nearby at the beach as well. It is really worth to go there. We loved it!!!
Only negatives; there is a mosque nearby. In the first 4 days we woke up because of the "song" of it after when we were used to the jet lag we could oversleep it. :D I think it is in every hotel as there are a many mosques in Dubai so it is almost impossible to avoid this.
It was a bit difficult to dry our...
