I visited this CARREFOUR near Saudi German Hospital on June 26, 2023, while I was at Saudi German Hospital. During my visit, I inadvertently forgot to pay for a cigarette I had taken. As I was leaving, a security guard approached me within 50 meters of the facility and asked for the bill. I immediately showed him the bill, but he pointed out that I had taken the cigarette without paying. I apologized and acknowledged that it was a mistake. I offered to pay for the cigarette, but they informed me that they will CHARGE ME FOR THE CIGARETTE WOULD NOT GIVE IT TO ME AS A PENALTY for stealing. I reiterated my apologies, explaining that I had forgotten about it due to my unsettled mood after leaving the hospital. I also suggested that they should have scanned the item before handing it to me.
Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, they insisted on their decision. Feeling reluctant to argue further, I accepted their decision, but I couldn't help but feel disappointed by such unprofessional behavior from an organization of this magnitude. They scanned my Emirates ID and mobile number, and I left the premises.
It is disheartening to witness this kind of business conduct in Dubai, a country renowned for its traditions and manners that we hold dear. I have been a loyal shopper at Carrefour for the past three years.

Read moreI would like to bring to your attention an issue I encountered at your store. On my recent visit, I approached the checkout counter at exactly 11:55. The staff informed me that I would need to wait about five minutes because they were in the middle of a shift change and needed to close out the current shift. I was fine with that initial wait. However, after four minutes, they told me to wait another ten minutes because the cashier for the next shift had not yet arrived. There was no clear communication about how long the delay would actually be, and it felt quite frustrating to stand there not knowing when I’d be able to check out.
I’m writing this review because it’s 2025, and it’s surprising that your system still requires this kind of restart and waiting period between shifts. It would be much better if customers were informed clearly from the start that there might be a ten-minute wait. As a result of the confusion and delay, I ended up leaving my items and walking out without making a purchase.
