I recently stayed at Ramada by Wyndham Dubai Barsha Heights and honestly, I can say it was one of the warmest hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the very first message I received after booking, I could tell this was not just a place to sleep but a place where people truly care about their guests.
Originally, I booked for one night. But after seeing the hospitality, cleanliness, and the way the staff went out of their way to make things easy for me, I ended up extending multiple times. Every single change, request, or question was handled smoothly and with a smile.
Bhawna at reception made check-in effortless and welcoming. She even took the time to show me the business centre and answer my questions in detail. Arafa, the Rooms Division & Revenue Manager, is a rare kind of leader who treats guests like family. His emails alone made me feel like I mattered.
Sahil at the front desk was consistently helpful, friendly, and professional. The kind Pakistani chef I bumped into in the basement one day, cabbage in hand, was so respectful he insisted I take the lift first even though it was his right of way. The bellboy always greeted me with genuine warmth. Even security impressed me — on my first visit they checked me politely before entering, and after that they always recognized me and made sure access was smooth. One security guard even returned 2 AED I had accidentally overpaid, without me even asking. That kind of honesty is rare.
Another thoughtful touch — every morning, even when I had the Do Not Disturb sign on, they still left water bottles by my door. And when I accidentally set off the smoke detector with bakhoor, the security and maintenance team responded calmly, quickly, and without making me feel uncomfortable.
This stay was personal for me because I used to live in this area for three years. Coming back here felt like a nostalgic trip, and the staff made it all the more special. I’ve been a gold member with many of the biggest hotel chains in the world, but this Ramada has outshined them in sincerity, care, and consistency.
To Bhawna, Arafa, Sahil, the chef, the bellboy, the security team, and every single person behind the scenes — thank you for making me feel at home. I will be returning soon with my family, and I know they will be in good hands.
Highly recommended to anyone who values genuine...
Read moreI am my colleague Praveen Subramaniam had booked 2 rooms for us for 6th November Night (1 day stay)via booking.com. We had some problem with our credit card not going thru , we called up the property many times & they had acknowledged the issue & said they will keep rooms for us . BUT to our shock & surprise they declared no rooms ...I had to send my relative to pay advance of DHS700 for ONE Single Room ,,whereas as per booking they had 2 rooms for us under 600DHS...the Managers at Hotel played mischief on us due to heavy demand of rooms & declared our case as no show & EXTRACTED DHS 700 for a Single Room .. Never Ever in my life I faced such harrassment from a Big Brand of Hotels...I am Platinium at ITC Hotels , Silver at IHG, Silver at Taj Hotel, Silver at Marriott & Copper at IHG....this was a unique & pathetic experience , On top of it the Manager at Reception ...forgot his name was very very arrogant !! His boss Muhammed Saqib was far better & level headed. ||||Now let's come to room no 806 - It was having multiple technical problems....Even at 24 Deg C Temp Set , the ACU was making huge noise (blower) & room temperature was showing 19 Deg C?? Reported to Engg in Morning ...they accepted the issue||||The WC is so badly aligned /cramped /stupidly placed ...that if a big person gets up from seat, he will hit wash basin surely ....terrible !! The water after taking bath was not going in the drain naturally ...it was standing under feet ....making the person who takes bath 2nd ...feel uncomfortable ||||The Breakfast Restaurant ..Very impressive layout ...but not many choices for vegeterian people ? thats again big minus on this hotel||||I think this whole experience was perhaps the worst in my over 150 reviews on TA & I think Ramada Teams in Top Management look at matter , rather seriously & investigate the nightmare we went through||||This is my first negative feedback ...only bright spot was some helpful bell desk staff, engg staff ..thats it||||Please Live up to Standards- if you really are an International...
Read moreAfter 11 years of hotel stays in Dubai, I can say without doubt this the worst hotel experience I have had. I was meeting with a former colleague regarding some important documents, when 10 minutes after he arrived, reception called to warn me that they were aware I had a guest in my room. I explained it was an urgent meeting to finalise some documents and that we were both leaving soon. Not even 10 minutes later they called my room threatening and saying that he still had not left the room. They had been monitoring my room the entire time even though I told them this was a former colleague and I had urgent papers to complete. I was unable to complete the work and my friend left out of embarrassment. I was humiliated. I tried explaining that I was meeting some colleagues during my long awaited trip to Dubai, but management would not accept. I was not at all made aware I could not have visitors prior to check-in. The manger and staff were Extremely rude and demeaning and would not compromise in any way. Additionally when I checked in I had asked for late check-out, and was told I could check out at 2pm. They called me at 11 am telling me I must checkout at midday. I was happy to leave.
Other details: -room was extremely small but clean, bathroom reasonable size., Fridge did not cool at all. -breakfast was a set menu, very small serving, not even though for a child. Waited 20 minutes for the serving to arrive. No choice whatsoever. -parking was full by night time.
Overall, avoid this hotel. There are many much better hotels in the area for the same price range. No paying customer should be treated with the disrespect that management showed at this hotel. Interestingly, I see that it's have had similar...
