I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Local Restaurant located within the Tryp by Wyndham hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was inviting, the service was impeccable, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious.

Not only was the food outstanding, but the service provided by the friendly staff added to the overall warmth of the experience. Arya, Aishwarya, Ansho, May, and Bithika went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. They were attentive, accommodating, and always had a smile on their faces, making us feel truly welcomed and valued.

I had the pleasure of trying the lamb kofta, chicken tikka, and lamb guzi, and each dish was bursting with flavor. The lamb kofta was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, while the chicken tikka had just the right amount of spice. The lamb guzi was a standout dish, tender and flavorful, leaving me craving for more.

What impressed me the most was the value for money. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices were reasonable, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

Breakfast was good, with plenty of options to choose from.

However, during dinner something absolutely unacceptable for 4 star hotel restaurant - and especially for a restaurant in the UAE - happened to me and my relative. I won’t go into details, so the restaurant doesn’t face problems in the future, but it was quite a shocking experience. Honestly, I would never come back to this restaurant or the hotel in my life - if not for one thing: the staff.

They truly cared. Over the next few days I received excellent service: I was able to speak with the chef, the managers and most importantly with Julius Badato. Every day he asked how I was feeling, apologised countless times, and even sent me a personal email, after I have left, to say sorry once again.

I was really impressed by how genuinely the hotel staff cared - not because of reviews, not out of fear, but because they wanted to make sure I had the best service possible. Yes, it was a huge mistake, but mistakes do happen. What matters is how you respond, and in this case the team did everything they could to make it right. For that, they deserve a second chance.
