We stayed at Holiday Inn Jumeirah for two nights and it was a huge disappointment. We had booked two connecting rooms with breakfast included, but upon arrival, we had to wait quite a while at reception because the rooms “weren’t ready yet.” When we finally got the keys and went to the third floor, things went downhill quickly.

One of the rooms smelled absolutely terrible, like urine, and it was very hard to stay inside. The smell seemed to come from the old, heavily stained carpets in the room and hallways, which looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The room also had extreme humidity, the air felt damp and heavy, and there was visible mold on parts of the wall. The AC unit was full of dust, clearly not maintained, and honestly a health hazard for anyone, even those without asthma or allergies.

The furniture was stained and uncomfortable, yellow marks on the carpet, chairs, and even the sofa. Worst of all, the windows didn’t open, so there was no fresh air to help with the smell. The bathroom wasn’t any better, the ceiling had mold, the shower area was old and yellowed, the silicone around it had dark build-up, and the metal handles were rusted and corroded. Everything just looked neglected. We were sneezing the whole time we were in that room and couldn’t handle it, so we requested to change.

The second room wasn’t much better in terms of air quality, and smelled like heavy cigarette smoke. The bathroom in that room was honestly even worse, the sink had visible buildup, the shower had black stains, the showerhead was dirty and broken, and water sprayed everywhere. The beds and linens were also uncomfortable, felt damp from humidity, and we kept itching, which tells you everything about the hygiene. Even the TV remote and the telephone were dirty.

The worst part is the carpets that cover the entire hotel, they’re old, stained, and clearly not cleaned with proper deep-cleaning equipment. Even the prayer room was dusty and had signs of mold. The elevators were incredibly slow, and to access common areas like the gym or prayer room, you had to go back to reception and ask for a separate card, which was annoying and unnecessary.

Another major issue was the parking basement. It was honestly one of the worst parking setups we’ve ever dealt with. We were driving an average-sized SUV and could barely fit through the narrow entrance and tight turns. The space is so limited that even a slight mistake could easily lead to scratching your car against the concrete walls. Getting out was even more hard, with barely any room to move. It felt like the parking was designed without thinking of real cars. If you’re driving a larger SUV, you’ll likely have to park outside somewhere else. Even smaller cars would struggle. Overall, the parking was almost useless.

While the staff were generally kind, the real issue is the hotel’s poor management and lack of care for cleanliness and guest comfort. Even basic things like towels weren’t available, housekeeping told us they didn’t have any and we had to wait until late in the day to receive fresh ones. On the second night, there was no water in the hotel, and by morning, the corridor outside our room was soaked which was maybe the reason behind the water problem. That explains why the carpets smell so bad.

The breakfast buffet was fine, nothing special but just enough. However, that doesn’t make up for the condition of the rooms, which is honestly the most important part of any hotel. We’ve stayed at several Holiday Inns before and always had good experiences, but this particular one was a complete letdown. I would never consider coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless major renovations and hygiene...

I would firstly like to thank Mr Jamil Ahmad and his wonderful team for making my wife’s and my holiday yet again at Holiday Inn Express Jumeirah truly amazing.

We stayed 9 nights from 29th Nov until 8th Dec and being a repeated customer since we have only seen the standard increase and increase and this all stems from senior management like Mr Jamil Ahmad. He is a true asset and a great leader who truly knows client servicing! Well done Mr Ahmad!

Here is our detailed positive feedback:

Jamil Ahmad took our direct booking and once again being the professional manager he is, he made our booking very quickly sent the reference number and ensured upon our arrival he was personally there to greet us!

We received a really warm welcome from Mr Jamil Ahmad and Lovely at the front desk. Check in was very quick and smooth .

We noticed the renovated reception area and it looks really nice, clean, spacious and positive vibrants! Love it!

Rooms are very nice and clean. The decorated corridors are clean. The rooms were always cleaned very nicely by house keeping and anything extra that we needed like hangers were attended too very quickly.

At breakfast time we were so pleased to see MaryAnn again lead the team. She is so hardworking professional and remembered us as repeat customers and treated us so well daily! She is a true asset to this hotel.

Jusmine was so so pleasant too and treated us with only smiles very friendly and hardworking. Met all our requests and what we noticed this time even more is that our plates and restaurant would be cleaned so quickly at all times during the morning.

Other staff at breakfast too were soo good. Another Asian lady was brilliant ( sorry forgot her name) and so hard working.

The Indian sous chef was very good and greeted us personally and made sure if we had any requests he met them well

Quality and temperature of food was very good and always filled up quickly! Masala chai was an addition from last time! Made our day… or start of day amazing!

The front office staff were all lovely. Thanks to Mr Elbashay for looking after us too and full front office staff. We remembered Lovely as she checked us in but all staff are excellent.

The bar staff Sudip was excellent. We had visited three times during our stay to watch football and play pool and really enjoyed the hospitality warmth of the bar and just Sudip’s smile and attentiveness to all the customers so late at night. Excellent client service.

Prashant at the security where he will direct all the buses that pick us up to Mercato or La mer or Dubai mall always did an excellent job so calm polite and with a smile! Thank you so much for looking after us!

This hotel has very good high standards and keep it up as this is the main reason we keep coming back because of the staff! The quality of staff is unbelievably!

I always tell my friends and family that this hotel makes us feel at home and until this service continues there is no reason why we won’t keep coming back!

Well done team and look forward in seeing you all again very soon!

Sukran!

Mr and...

Excellent Stay at Holiday Inn Jumeirah True Gem in Dubai! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had an exceptional experience at Holiday Inn Jumeirah. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the team made sure all my needs were taken care of.

The room was spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely cozy, and I loved the small touches like the complimentary coffee, fast Wi-Fi, and quality toiletries.

The location is fantastic – just a short distance from Jumeirah Beach, and very convenient for exploring Dubai’s top attractions. It’s also close to great restaurants and shopping areas.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. I especially appreciated the international choices and the high standard of hygiene.

One of the highlights was the rooftop pool – a perfect place to relax and enjoy the skyline. The gym was also well-equipped and clean.

What truly made my stay memorable was the outstanding customer service. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant experience. Special thanks to the front desk and housekeeping for their exceptional care.

I highly recommend Holiday Inn Jumeirah to anyone visiting Dubai – whether for business or leisure. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip At the end thanks to hotel and special thanks to Hesham ♥️ in the reception very helpful and kind guy really special...

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. The whole floor smells like cigarettes the room stinks of cigarettes the pull out bed has no mattress and feels like sleeping on a metal cage and the whole thing folds in half when you sleep on it Mini fridge doesn’t work. I arrived to check in at 12 am already past the regular check in time by 8 hours and they were just getting the extra bed ready even though my booking was made for 2 adults and 1 child. Underground parking is not made for any car to drive into. Very very very tight roads and almost impossible to drive into and out of. Definitely one of my worst hotels stays ever. The photos is of the sofa bed legs folding up when a child that is less than 30 kgs lies in it
