Our recent stay at the Grand Mercure in Dubai was a truly exceptional experience, offering a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and access to the city's myriad attractions. From the moment we arrived, the staff were consistently polite and professional, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was not only comfortable but also impeccably clean, providing a serene retreat after a day of exploration.
One of the highlights of our stay was the superb buffet breakfast. The extensive selection catered to every palate, providing a delightful start to each day.
The hotel's location is truly a standout feature. We found ourselves perfectly positioned to explore a wealth of Dubai's landmarks. Within a short distance, we visited the magnificent Jumeirah Mosque, the Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Mosque, and the enlightening Etihad Museum. We also enjoyed the natural wonders of Green Planet Dubai and the urban splendor of Emaar Square and the iconic Burj Khalifa. Further attractions like Bay Avenue Park, The Dubai Fountain, the captivating Dubai Water Canal Waterfall, and the lush Safa Park were all easily accessible.
For beach lovers, the Grand Mercure is ideally situated, with La Mer Beach, North Beach, and Mercato Beach all less than 4 kilometers away.
The hotel’s proximity to The Dubai International Airport, just 9 kilometers away, made travel seamless. Moreover, the excellent public transport links, including Al Jafiliya Metro Station (2.8km), Metro Al Jafiliya (2.6km), World Trade Centre Metro Station (3.2km), and Metro World Trade Centre (3.2km), provided effortless access to the entire city.
Furthermore, we were delighted to find that the hotel was also close to many additional points of interest, including the Zabeel Park Playground, Saeed Al Maktoum House, the breathtaking Dubai Frame, the historical Heritage Village, the insightful Dubai Museum, the charming Al Bastakiya, the expansive Zabeel Park, Smoking Bay, and the immersive Hareem Al Sultan Exhibition.
For those driving, the ample free parking available in the basement was a significant advantage.
In summary, the Grand Mercure in Dubai offers an unparalleled combination of excellent service, immaculate accommodations, a delectable breakfast buffet, and a prime location that serves as a perfect base for discovering the best of Dubai. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and convenient stay in this...
Read moreMy family and I stayed at the Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai for 3 nights. I wish I was told the following things in the reviews section so this is for people like me. NOISE: this hotel has two lounges/ clubs on the ground floor. The music blasts on through the night (loud thumping Bollywood music). Shifting rooms makes little difference since the noise travels right up till the fourth floor. We didn’t sleep properly at all. The room we were given had an adjoining door to the next room as well so we could hear the neighbours conversation clearly. Extremely irritating. SERVICE: the restaurant staff, bellhops and cleaners were courteous and accommodating. They did everything they could to help us. ROOMS: we booked two separate rooms a week prior with full payment but they still couldn’t give us rooms side by side. The rooms have really old stained carpeting and their daily cleaning does not involve changing the sheets or doing a thorough cleaning. Really doesn’t live up to a four star hotel level. 4 SMOKE: whether you book a smoking or non smoking room, it doesn’t make a difference, the rooms will fill up with smoke that comes through the vents. My brother and I fell sick towards the end of our stay. The hotel send cleaners who spray the room if smoke comes in but it’s pointless. FOOD: food was really good. Everything we ate at the hotel was really good. Their buffet also has a variety of options.
Overall, if you’re on a family holiday looking for a good night sleep after a tiring day, I would not recommend this hotel. If you’re looking to party all night, this is the...
Read moreI have stayed in many hotels around the world, but I have never experienced such terrible treatment towards guests as I did in this hotel in Dubai. It is part of a well-known hotel chain and definitely not a cheap place but price doesn’t matter when there is such complete disrespect for people.||||My check-in started with humiliation. The man at the reception threatened to call the police on me simply because I am a woman and, according to him, I should “speak respectfully.” Meanwhile, he was mocking me, pretending not to understand what I was saying. After 30 minutes of stress and insults, he finally did what I had asked him to do from the beginning.||||When I entered the room, the smell was unbearable as if something had died inside. When I complained, reception told me that opening the windows was forbidden. If you cannot provide a proper ventilation system and keep the air clean, you should not be renting out these rooms at all.||||For two days I couldn’t even take a proper shower because there was no hot water. If you turn the tap all the way and wait for 10 minutes, a weak trickle of lukewarm water finally appears — it felt like being somewhere without proper plumbing at all.||||The female receptionist refused to tell me her name, laughed at me, and declined to move me to another room. Her attitude was completely unprofessional and disrespectful.||||I sincerely hope that anyone planning a trip to Dubai avoids this hotel. No one deserves to be...
