The best part of the Hotel is it's location (downtown and next to the Financial Center metro station). The Premium One Bedroom Apartment was very spacious and had an excellent view of Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab. Two Bathrooms and enough space for a family of 4 (Inc kids). Breakfast spread was decent and was curated more for the Indian Guests. Most of the staffs were courteous and friendly but seems like highly restricted by some wired Rules of the hotel management. We as a family enjoyed our stay in terms of location, View and breakfast. The price was reasonable. However, it really surprised me when the hotel denied more than two plates as cutlery in the room, Denied complimentary drinking water on a daily basis (they provide two bottles on the day of arrival and the remaining day you have to pay), Most of the time you have two ask for hand towels, floor mats, specifically asked for room cleaning when you are leaving the room. The dustbins were not cleaned everyday. The rooms are a bit outdated and not really spotless. I complained to the UAE Tourist department about the drinking water issue and hotel provided two bottles for one more day with fruits and that's it. They again stopped providing any complimentary drinking water. What kind of hotel don't provide complimentary drinking water? Tips: There are multiple grocery stores and Restaurants next to the hotel. Don't depend on the Hotel for Food and Grocery like water, fruits, medicine etc. Don't book taxis from the App (except during the busy hour). Taxies are available just outside the hotel. My biggest dissatisfaction with my stay is with the wired Hotel policies and the insensitive management. I stayed with two 4 yrs old kids for 8 nights and my booking clearly mentioned all 4 names. I don't understand why they can't provide cutlery for all or drinking water for the whole duration of the stay. One more Important info: The present entry on the Sheik Zyed Rd is actually temporary. Often taxi drivers will reach or drop you at the actual entry side which is under renovation now. This Hotel Deserves a 5 Star review, just the wired policies and insensitive approach of the management is pushing it at 3 Star in my review. I wish the hotel management was more customer friendly and sensitive.

I arrived to check in at around 1:00 am, and I had indicated the approximate time of arrival in the reservation. The receptionist was working very slowly. When i were given the keys to the room on the 23rd floor, i were excited to go in. The balcony had a view of the Burj Khalifa, but the balcony doors/windows themselves didn't open. I tried to open the balcony door in the morning, but found that it was blocked by some screws which the staff had randomly inserted into the balcony frame to prevent it from opening. Then in the morning, i realized that there was a mini kitchen, but there were no plates or teaspoons, only packets of instant coffee, tea, and sugar without any cutlery. I didn't know how to stir the sugar in the mug... PLUS, in the morning when the room cleaning staff came to our floor, everything was very noisy and i could hear what was happening outside in the corridor, even though i had a "do not disturb" sign hanging on our door. Nobody entered my room, but i could hear everything happening outside while i were inside the room. By the way, the balcony that never opened - it seemed to have soundproof windows, but since the room faces Sheikh Zayed Road, the main highway, we could hear the noise of cars. One positive thing to note is that they were accommodating to my request, although not on the first attempt but on the second one - regarding the late check-out. They allowed me to check out at 3:00 PM as i explained that my flight was around 6:00 PM and i would appreciate being able to check out at 3:00 PM instead of 1:00 PM... They approved this request on the second try. Overall, my experience at the hotel was quite disappointing. The slow check-in process, balcony door issue, lack of basic kitchen utensils, and the noise from the corridor and highway made my stay less enjoyable. I had hoped for a better experience considering the hotel's location and reputation.

My recent 5-night stay at the Emirates Grand Hotel in Dubai was far from the relaxing experience I had hoped for. I booked the hotel online, and unfortunately, it seems like I was assigned one of their older rooms due to ongoing renovations – a detail that was not clearly disclosed during the booking process. For the majority of our stay, we were out of the hotel during the day and only returned in the evenings. However, on one particular day, we stayed in the room longer, and around 10 AM, a series of loud noises erupted from somewhere nearby. To our dismay, the entire room quickly filled with dust. It was a complete mess, and incredibly unpleasant. What was even more concerning was that the hotel staff seemed unaware of the source of the noise and dust. After making a complaint, they were able to relocate us to a different room, which was significantly better and in much better condition. However, the initial experience left a very poor impression. The original room’s condition was unacceptable, and the lack of transparency regarding the renovations and potential for disruption is highly disappointing. I am including photos of the outside of the original room where you can see . The inside of the room was also in poor condition [Old bathroom fittings, lights not working properly, outdated painting keep under the furniture , stained carpets, peeling paint, outdated furniture]and if you want to use the lift you need to wait minimum 5 minutes . I would hesitate to recommend this hotel until their renovations are complete and they are more upfront about the potential impact on guests. It's important for hotels to be transparent about ongoing work to manage guest expectations and avoid these kinds of unpleasant surprises. This experience made me question the quality control and guest care at this hotel.

From day 1 we had nothing but trouble. We asked well in advance for an early check in or extra night to accommodate our arrival in Dubai at 5am. Both myself and my travel agent sent emails to the property which apparently were just ignored so after a sleepless 14 1/2 hour flight we were forced to wander around aimlessly until we could check into our room at 3pm. This should have been a sign of things to come. We have been here for a total of 3 nights now. Last night after repeated attempts to get towels so I could have a shower, I had to chase down a cleaner in the hallways at 11pm as they took the old ones but did not replace them. Today is the same situation. Apparently a service means they will pull up the bed and put the remote control back and that is all. The floors are so filthy that within 10 minutes of arriving home the bottoms of my feet were black. When I spoke to the person on the front desk he asked if I had been supplied slippers. Apparently this replaces the need to clean so if your like me you better bring your own mop and broom. I would hate to visit a house in this country as the cleaning standards are obviously different to my country. They don't supply cutlery.... so can't make a cup of tea unless you bring your own or use a pen to stir, they don't replace toilet paper, they don't replace used dishes but also don't give you any dishwashing liquid to do them yourself. They don't take out the rubbish, they don't supply glasses so better pack those as well. The 1 thing that was most important to me was a pool....dubai is hot....unfortunately there is no pool no spa no gym as they are all being renovated. A heads up would have been great them I could have had the chance to choose somewhere else. Basically they have turned my once in a life time trip to dubai into a nightmare I can't wait to escape. Tomorrow I will be asking for a refund on the rest of my stay and checking into somewhere that has higher standards. If I ran my motel like this I would have gone broke. If they need help training staff I would be happy to show them what actual customer service and manaakitanga actually look like. Big thumbs down from me. Well things went from bad to worse after we started itching and discovered a bed bug infestation. We were moved to another room however when we asked if we could please have our things washed before we left we were told we needed to pay for this service and were then ignored. Thank God we are leaving tonight. I have spent 10000 aud on this once in a lifetime trip and this motel has made it an absolute nightmare. I have spoken to my travel agent and have been assured No customer from flight centre will ever be booked in here again. I was hoping things would improve by the end of the visit but they just got worse and worse. Even the room we were moved to was dirty with dirt all over the floors. I think the good reviews are obviously fake as I have heard many other guests complaining while I've been here. Avoid this motel like the plague. When they say they would like the opportunity to improve what they actually mean is they really don't give a rats..... thank God the...

An horrendous experience to say the least.

We checked in for a one-night stay and it was a disappointing one. Right from the beginning, the reception staffs are too busy to even look at you while talking. They were more glued to the computer screen. And the check process is unorganized, everyone was queueing like buying a ticket for a carnival. After the check process was complete, we had to personally find a porter to request him to help us with the luggage as the receptionist wasn’t bothered about it. I’d like to point out that the attitude of the porter was great and he was very helpful.

The next issue was that they were 4 elevators, but all of them are busy and take at least 10-15 mins to get one. The housekeeping team uses the same elevator and it adds to the chaos. The management can easily dedicate one elevator for the housekeeping team to carry on their duties and use the remaining 3 for customers. It would make the process of getting to your room so much simpler.

We finally get up to the room and it looks nothing like the photo. There was a kitchen shown in the photos when we booked, but there was none. The carpets had stains, the wall had a hole in it, and the apartment looked like it had never been cleaned after the last guest checked out and the sofa in the bedroom was broken too. After requesting the apartment be cleaned, they did send someone to do it.

Later that evening, we asked for towels waited for 15 mins and I had to call them again to remind them, but receptionist picked up the phone, didn’t allow me to talk and quickly said “yeah yeah we are sending them to your room…we only have one staff at this moment so you need to wait” which is ridiculous as they failed to provide the basics before I checked in and now they had a tone like I was being difficult to work it.

We finally received 2 towels and both of them had some kind of stains in it. Honestly, at this point I had given up trying to even communicate with them because they simply do not care or understand hospitality. I was looking forward to check out of this hotel and never return.

The only good aspect of the hotel is the location. It is in heart of Dubai and near the metro.

I hope the management wakes up and doesn’t slack because the way they are is absolutely unacceptable and not worth staying there.

According to Google, it says that it is a 4 star hotel, but do not believe it as it has none of the qualities. I think Sunday Mega Hotel has simply taken over Emirates Grand Hotel’s Google page, hence showing the 4 stars.

In a nutshell,

Staffs need training on how to speak to customer and be hospitable

The hygiene is extremely poor and unacceptable

Maintenance work needs to be done.

Pictures on booking.com don’t match the actual apartment.

False advertisement - kitchen in the photos and there was none in the apartment we got.

They need to fix the name of the hotel - it’s not Emirates Grand Hotel anymore. It is called Sunday Mega Hotel, but they still have Emirates Grand Hotel’s menus. The name Sunday Mega Hotel is not mentioned anywhere...

Please do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel. I did the same mistake even though all the reviews already said it's bad, I went ahead and booked it only for it's location but it was a mistake.

Pros: Hotel's location is prime, just next to financial metro station and with view of burj Khalifa along with best view of city Skyline and good connectivity of red metro line.

Cons: Rooms - They are in very bad condition. Hotel seems to be goining under renovation making lobby and rooms entire mess and filthy. I arrived late night and got a decent sized room but the washroom was filthy and smelling like pee. Washroom was very old and had stains allover and the jet spray was filthy as hell. I asked for room change that night but reception mentioned that hotel is full and he would arrange room change next morning. I asked for washroom cleaning but when house keeping arrived he just sprayed air freshener that it. Somehow we managed that night.

Staff - So next day we went to reception and asked for room change, they assured me they would move our luggage to new room as we were going out. When we came back at 10pm, found the room was not changed, the reception guy was different named "Nishad". He again mentioned that rooms are full and we cannot give another room and there is no renovated washroom for dulex category. We argued a lot and only after making a scene at reception Nishad was not communicating to us directly and had very bad attitude, after pointing out his behavior being in service industry he called up another staff and asked us to show other rooms. They showed us 3 more rooms which were empty contradictory to their statement of "hotel is full". When we went again to confirm one of the available room, I again witnessed a guy arguing for getting room. The new room still was not best just was less filthy then the previous one.

Atmosphere - Many people are wondering and I read other reviews that even after worst service how is this hotel sustaining. What I observed is there were lot of escorts outside hotel, in the lobby and each night during my stay I observed it. Being the corporate hub, good location and escort services might be the reason it is able to sustain. If you are family I'll suggest to avoid due to this reason. Since we changed the rooms, they cut over our telephone to not report any further issue, I already read this with other reviews as well. I reported it multiple times but they did not bother fixing it. Wifi was out for entire night and next day morning, I talked with other people staying and they reported their stay was not pleasant as well.

Overall, if you want to risk your choice but I'll suggest if you don't want headache please choice for...
