I have visited the restaurant and below is my review:
Dishes Tried:
Lebanese Shawerma in Saj Bread: 7/10 Mexican Shawerma in Saj Bread: 8/10 Meat Shawerma in Saj Bread: 8/10
Quality of Food:
The overall quality of the food at Shawerma Al Farooj is good. Each shawerma variation offers a distinct and enjoyable taste, with the Mexican and Meat Shawerma standing out a bit more than the Lebanese option. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, making each bite delightful.
Service:
The service was very good. Since it was a takeaway order, efficiency and promptness were key, and Shawerma Al Farooj delivered on both fronts. The staff was friendly and ensured that the order was prepared quickly without compromising on quality. Also, the waiter was proactive in his approach and recommended the beef shawarma as it was freshly supplied.
Ambiance:
As it was a takeaway experience, the ambiance of the restaurant was not a factor in this review. However, the place appeared clean and well-organized in comparison to similar types of restaurants, which is always a positive sign.
Highlights:
There wasn't anything particularly outstanding or disappointing about the experience. Everything was consistently good, making it a reliable choice for shawerma lovers. The packaging was also done well, keeping the food intact during the takeaway.
Recommendation:
Yes, I would recommend Shawerma Al Farooj to anyone looking for a decent shawerma in Dubai. The variety and quality of the shawerma options, combined with good service, make it a worthwhile choice for anyone craving this delicious Middle...
Read moreI wanted to try for my first time but had really bad customer service experience. I parked directly in front of the shop and placed the order of 1 shawarma and 1 cocktail juice. I was offered a tea and after 10 mins I still did not get my tea because the waiter he went to serve other cars that seems to be more important in his opinion. I reminded him of my tea then he brought it. After almost 40 mins waiting I asked what happened to my order? As I see people coming and getting food and going and I was still waiting without food and all waiters were busy serving other cars that seem to be for them more important. Luxury cars and cars with 3 digits have priority by the waiters as i could see. Unfortunately I had to leave without food and therefore I can't judge the taste but for me I will never come again and will not recommend it to anyone. Someone who priorities customers based on their cars and plate numbers is a no go for me and they have to really work on their service better. The manager was busy on his POS machine and counting orders rather than checking what is wrong with ling...
Read moreShawerma Al Farooj is a new concept from the same people behind Madoof Al Saddah, and you can immediately notice the same high standards and attention to detail here. Their spot on SZR is tucked behind a tower with around eight dedicated parking spaces. It sounds like a lot, but it quickly fills up because the place is already quite popular.
The menu offers chicken, beef, and a spicy Mexican shawarma. You also get to choose your bread, which is a nice touch. I tried the saj, Lebanese bread, and the French baguette. My personal favorite is always Lebanese bread, but the baguette worked surprisingly well too.
The Mexican shawarma is easily the standout. The tangy orange hot sauce gives it a unique flavor that pairs perfectly with the creamy texture, and it is one I would go back for. I also tried their laban ayran, which was fine on its own but works much better when you are having the spicy shawarma. They also serve complimentary tea if you ask for it.
Overall, it is a place I would recommend, especially if you want to try a chicken shawarma that feels familiar but still has its...
