Despite the café being busy, they maintained their cheerful demeanor and made an effort to provide good service. Read moreHorrible Experience at LDC Kitchen, Aspin Branch
I recently visited LDC Kitchen's Aspin branch to enjoy the "Free Birthday Brunch" that I had heard about from friends. I was looking forward to treating myself, but unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable, thanks to poor customer service and mistreatment by the staff.
When I arrived, the initial seating and ambiance were fine, but things quickly took a turn for the worse. I was met by a waiter (or possibly a waiter supervisor) who seemed visibly displeased by the fact that I was dining under the free birthday promotion. His attitude was rude and unwelcoming. Despite the promotion being a gift for customers on their birthday he was not welcoming.
The situation became weird when I asked if I could take my leftover food as I don't like to waste it, (to feed stray cats), the waiter loudly and rudely denied my request, even in front of other customers. He then took the plate away from my table without my consent, this made me insist right away to keep back as I didn’t like this behavior and told him I will keep leftover food if takeaway was not allowed.
When I questioned his behavior he said that he won’t serve me anymore as “free food is not for takeaway." His tone was dismissive and condescending. Though I was disappointed, I left as requested, not wanting to escalate the situation further. Before I left, I told him I would be leaving a review online, to which he responded dismissively, claiming that he didn’t care about my review because LDC had plenty of good ones already.
The next day, I left an honest Google review to share my experience and I received a call from the operations manager, who assured me that they would investigate the matter. However, what followed was even more shocking. Shortly late evening I received a threatening message on WhatsApp from the operations manager, claiming that they had a recorded video of me "keeping" my leftover food and threatening to expose me if I did not remove my review?
This experience left me deeply upset and confused. To make matters worse, instead of addressing my feedback professionally, the operations manager resorted to threatening behavior, which I find both unprofessional and childish.
I truly hope that LDC Kitchen reevaluates its birthday brunch policies, trains its staff to treat customers with kindness and respect, and takes food waste and sustainability more seriously.
However threatening messages to customers wont bring good reviews but good experiences will bring back to you...
Read moreTitlMy recent breakfast experience at LDC Kitchen and Cafe left me with mixed feelings. The concept of an all-you-can-eat breakfast with a selected menu seemed promising, but unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of my expectations.
Let's start with the positives. The food served at LDC was undeniably good. The dishes offered as part of the breakfast menu were tasty and satisfying. The flavors were enjoyable, and the ingredients appeared to be of decent quality. It is evident that some thought went into the selection and preparation of the dishes.
However, the standout issue was the service. The restaurant was crowded, resulting in a noisy and bustling atmosphere. This may not be ideal for those seeking a peaceful breakfast experience. Furthermore, the service left much to be desired. I encountered instances where my requests for simple additions, such as an extra toast or additional jam with the French toast, were met with refusal. It was frustrating to learn that these additions were considered additional costs, even though they were part of the breakfast menu when ordered as a complete dish.
This inconsistency in offering extras left a sour taste in my mouth. As a customer, I believe that reasonable requests like these should be accommodated without any unnecessary charges. It seemed as though the restaurant was more concerned with upselling individual items rather than focusing on customer satisfaction.
Taking all factors into account, I find it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend LDC Kitchen and Cafe. While the food itself was enjoyable, the poor service and the unwillingness to accommodate simple requests diminished the overall experience. If you're looking for a place with both good food and attentive service, there may be better options available.
Please note that restaurant experiences can vary, and my review is based on a specific visit. Others may have different experiences, so it's always advisable to consider multiple opinions before...
