I was here on solo business travel. Everything was amazing, with just a few small suggestions.
I'll start with the amazing. Excellent customer service was on full display, from Fairoos the concierge, who was absolutely fantastic in helping me secure my luggage and coordinating with me, to Paul at the front desk, who helped me exchange currency and gave great local suggestions. Jonathan and Mohammed were also helpful: Jonathan at the concierge and Mohammed with coffee and dates.
Finally, the spectacular housekeeping team excelled by granting special requests that I had, both courteously and politely.
In addition, the breakfast offering was by far better than any hotel I have stayed at, offering regional dishes as well as food from around the world, including made to order omelettes, lebneh, feta, and hummus, fresh fruit, an abundant pastry selection, and various hot and cold drink offerings. There's too much to list here.
Another plus, although I could not take advantage of it, was the free shuttle to the beach and Dubai, since Sharjah doesn't have a metro.
Also, the pool was great, with a nice shade for the sun.
Now, for the suggestions, there are only a couple. Please give Fairoos a raise because he deserves it. I had no AED to tip him, but I hope this review boosts his position somehow.
On the logistics side, I recommend using a milder cleaner in the rooms. Although the strong scent was reassuring, indicating a clean environment, the scent could affect those with sensitive noses.
Lastly, I recommend a small desk if possible for those travelling for work. Even a small one would be helpful. Of course, larger rooms might have been equipped this way, but mine was for 1 person, so that may be why.
In sum, I would both stay here again and recommend it highly to travelers of all types. I hope to bring my family back here some day, and I would definitely choose Hotel Holiday...

Extremely Disappointed with Misleading Promotion – A Letdown for Loyal Supporters
I booked a stay at Hotel Holiday International last Friday, July 4, under what was advertised as part of the City Tourism Waterpark Package (Booking Ref #243808). I am writing this review out of sheer disappointment and frustration with the way this entire experience was handled.
As a family, we’ve consistently supported and looked forward to your yearly tourism campaigns. But this time was different—and frankly, unacceptable. The campaign clearly promoted free access to a waterpark and a 15-minute kayak ride as part of the hotel stay. However, upon arrival, the hotel staff had no knowledge of this package, and we were told both the waterpark and kayak activities would cost extra.
Not only was this misleading, it was embarrassing—we had excited children expecting to enjoy what was promised, only to be turned away unless we paid more. For a campaign of this scale, the lack of communication with partner hotels is shocking.
This experience felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. We feel completely let down and question whether this was a genuine promotion or just a marketing gimmick. If this is how loyal participants are treated, we will seriously reconsider supporting future campaigns.
This incident deserves attention and immediate rectification—not just for us, but for the many families who trust in...
