This is my second visit and the only place I have returned to. Stunning, well-appointed mansion providing all the comforts of home, along with the luxuries that make for an unforgettable retreat. Perfectly positioned to access provedores, cafes, restaurants, day spa and local ateliers - whilst surrounded by the peaceful majesty of bucolic Scotland.

Highlights -immediate forest immersion out the front door -feeding the llamas -full professional kitchen, designed and utilised by award winning chef (you can tell) -plethora of walks from door (river, forest, field) or in the near vicinity (Devil's Beef Tub, Merlin Trail, Grey Mare's Tail) and day trip areas (Rosslyn Chapel, Crawick Multiverse, Galloway&Kielder Forests, Lake District) -valley views, especially from the cosy living room fireplace or sunbathed conservatory -situated in a Dark Sky Town, phenomenal visibility for stargazing around the outdoor fire

Beechwood: Perfect Getaway for Family Celebrations

This is my second time visiting BeechWood with my family, and it was another fantastic experience! Our group of 12, including adults and kids, had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the stunning location.

The house itself is truly impressive. It's been meticulously maintained, giving us the feeling of stepping into a brand new place. Big kudos to the owners for taking such great care of the property!

As mentioned before, the location is unbeatable – close to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. This makes it a perfect spot for a short break or weekend getaway.

This trip was extra special as we were celebrating a family member's 70th birthday. The house provided the perfect setting for a memorable gathering, and everyone had a wonderful time. The snooker room and games room is done now so the adults could move on to play snooker and kids to move to screen room

Beechwood house is brilliant. All facilities are spot on and the house slept 19 girls comfortably. Nick was a brilliant host in the lead up to our extended weekend stay. He organised hot tub hire for our stay as requested which was a lovely added luxury. We also had use of karaoke which was great fun and easy to use. The house was very reasonably priced and in a great location, it is easily walkable from the pubs in Moffat after a night out. Added bonus that the beds are super comfy- best couple nights sleep I’ve had in a long time 👌🏼
