Bright and cheerful cafe and staff, lovely artwork on the walls, the food was ok, we had the burger and chips, good portion, a toasty sandwich with leaf dressing and coleslaw and I had the fishcake and salad, special of the day, thought a main but more like light bite, not a lot of salad more like a scattering over the top of the fishcake, but plenty of fish in the small fishcake. The staff were lovely, with a friendly atmosphere. The only other little thing was a sticky table, but a nice and colourful one.

Lovely little cafe with super friendly staff. We dropped in for a takeaway coffee, wish we would’ve had the time to sit down as it’s really nice and cosy inside. Our 2-year old daughter got impatient waiting (not a long wait at all, but toddlers…) so the staff chatted to her keeping her entertained and even made her a free small hot chocolate. Great choice in hot drinks and everything we had was very delicious.

Really friendly welcome, and very polite the food was first class as was the service would highly recommend the place to anyone and will return here every time we are in Moffat. All the staff were so friendly and happy it must be a great place to work too. Thankyou Mutchies Munchies for good old fashioned quality service with excellently prepared and served food

We are regulars here and the food is always great. Service can be hit and miss and today was dreadful! There seemed to be only one waitress on duty and she was as usual unfriendly and uninterested in the customer. We sat down and waited for 15 minutes without any acknowledgement we were even there. A couple walked in at that point and sat at another table. The waitress came over to clear their table from the previous customers plates and then proceeded to take their order!!!! I stood up and put my jacket on to leave and she wouldn't even look at me! Another customer told her we'd been sat waiting but she ignored him and us! We left and went elsewhere. This waitress has been working here for some time and she has always been unhelpful and unfriendly. She certainly wouldn't encourage me to want to visit the tearoom again. There isn't even the excuse that she is a young girl who is learning......this waitress is an older lady who should...

Although I had seen a photo of the restaurant before It wasn't until I saw in person that Its true charm shone. It is a delightful place and the interior did not disappoint. I particularly like the use of colours in particular those in the grains of the table top.. The food was very well presented and served with care. I got the feeling that they truly appreciate your custom. I ordered safe things which I was familiar with and all was well cooked without being oily but crispy. Prices were quite competitive and so I ordered a bit more than I would usually do. I am not local to this area but will definitely re-visit next time I am in...

A lovely wee traditional cafe serving truly home-made food. Some brilliantly made traditional items mixed with some imaginative twists on the theme. Like the raspberry, white chocolate and banana scone I had. Hot chocolate that's actually brown rather than that slightly-tinged milk you get in most places this actually tasted of chocolate and looked as though it has had coco-pops soaking in it it was that dark. Excellent coffee, too and the most almondy tasting Bakewell empire biscuit. So much better than stopping at the motorway services. Cheaper, better quality, actually relaxing. Take the 5 minute detour and come here of you...
