Fun, friendly, welcoming bar. Most important for me is it's very dog friendly. The beer garden is lovely. The new owners have made so many changes already, the entrance to the bar is much more welcoming. If in moffat it's a must to visit the coachman for an ice slush with your favourite tipple. I strongly recommend this friendly bar 👍😀🐕

Waited 25 minutes on a cheeseburger even though the place didn't have many customers in. Was served a poor quality cheeseburger. Cheese slice. Very thin burger and lettuce. Served with hot lettuce as a side not worth paying £6 for

Stopped here en route home. Wish we hadn't. Atmosphere felt very cliquey. Unsurprisingly, there was plenty of empty tables to sit at. The apparent fish and chips was absolutely rancid. Chips partially cooked from frozen and looked as though it was bought in a ready meal box from a low end supermarket. The "fish" was slush in breadcrumbs and immediately despatched to the nearest napkin. Staff were quick enough to take the plates away - must like the place empty. (Probably for the best). When told the food was unpleasant, the chap said, "I'll let the kitchen know". Spun on his heel without another word said. Clearly nothing new or rectified, we're not the first to complain as I delve deeper into these reviews. If you want to avoid disappointment and get your moneys worth, definitely...

Myself and my girlfriend popped in for some food, as my girlfriend is autistic and doesn't realise that she needs to use the bathroom until it's too late she popped in to use the facilities. After realising that the bathroom and the bar in general wasn't the cleanest or most welcoming we decided to leave.

This is when a member of staff barricaded and blocked the door stopping us from leaving...getting aggressive/shouting and swearing at us for using the bathroom without buying anything. After we got past her she continued to shout and swear at us down the street.

if you are not avoiding this place due to the cleanliness and unwelcoming atmosphere absolutely avoid it at all costs due...

Food not too bad but very restricted, the decor was in keeping with being a listed building but could be upgraded a bit more tastefully as I found it very distasteful and dark no good feeling sitting their it in fact reminded of yesteryear old spittoon pubs, but not what people want nowadays, I also noticed several people turn away after looking in and in fact one couple came in but got up and left. I asked for a capuchin coffee and was told they had nothing like that, The lager was okay but all in all I thought it was poor even on entering no sign to say which door customers to use. Sorry 2 out of ten for...
