Went in at lunchtime today to ask for a soft egg and potato scone roll, to be met with attitude over asking for a fresh egg. Since I did not want an egg that had been sitting for god knows how long. Baking under the heatlamp. Not asking for much just to do her job with no attitude and a smile would be good. 😡

We were just passing through and stopped for breakfast, this has to be one of the nicest breakfasts we have EVER had. I'm not a sausage person and they were delicious, well to be honest it was all delicious. Never tried a potato cake before and they were yummy. Thank you for a great service too.

Initially gave a one star review. However since speaking to the actual owner, I am convinced this is a good spirited family the business. I am sure the incident was an isolated one and I am pleased the owners have taken action to resolve the issues. The food clearly is good, hence our repeated visits.

Original review: If I could give zero stars I would. Moffat is a small town, but with plenty of amenities. It has 2 bakeries and many more cafe’s. You’d think any business would recognise there’s competition, and conduct themselves accordingly. Like many of the 1 star reviews for this place. I am astonished at the poor attitude of the owner and staff. As they say, the fish stinks from the head down, the attitude is very much same here.

We have been in Moffat for 4 weeks, my son uses the bakery at least 3 times a week. I’ve used it probably 6-8 times since being here. It’s 9am, my son orders a soup and roll, he tried to pay using contactless. Twice it failed, so I offer to pay by applepay. The most miserable owner states ‘he’s broken our machine because his card declined twice. We have to reset the till’ - I think this is rude, especially in front of other customers. Nevertheless, I live 2 minutes walk away, so I say ‘I’ll go and get cash and come back’ immediately the frosty response ‘we don’t know you, we can’t just trust you, someone will have to stay; where are you from’ - I explain we use the place a lot, I live couple mins walk and will be back. Sadly, she responds ‘I’ve never seen you before, someone will have to stay’ - my son stayed, I went and got my wallet (I had been out walking my dog, I don’t carry a wallet for that). I go back, I pay, and I make the point that it would be odd for someone to risk a criminal record just to avoid paying for a soup and roll. Again ms frosty responds ‘we can’t just trust people, people are coming here and breaking into people’s houses’ - the context and perspective now seems to be getting way out of hand. I ask if I really look like someone that is robbing peoples houses. Believe it or not, the owner then says ‘well I asked my staff if they have ever seen...

Walked in with 2 work colleagues, The first one asked for his roll and a coffee, he was met with "No. No you can't have coffee, can you not read, no hot drinks". Poor attitude Second colleague bought a 4 pack of sausage rolls and 4 pack of doughnuts the lady behind the till replied "Hmm you'll not do anything at work today then" When it was my turn I asked for a chicken pie and the same wummin for a 3rd time rudely replied "Uh no no you can't cos we don't do chicken pies" Overall I'm not happy, my wee pal is crying cos he never got his coffee and my other pal...

I called in this morning and asked if they served bacon rolls? The rather curt reply came back "7 o'clock." When I returned to my vehicle parked opposite I realised that it was 6.56 am. Well thanks but no thanks. In this time of covid and lock down, if you can be so anti customer in your reply, I really won't be buying my roll there. Thank you and...
