Ordered here as staying overnight in moffat and not any other options especially if you want non pub food. Ordered a lamb pathia that yes is a sweet and sour dish but came out like a store brought sweet and sour sauce without the pineapple. The colouring was completely different to any dish I have ever been served especially a pathia which is a dark brown usually. It was really sweet and not enjoyable. The meat some parts were good some were fatty and chewy. Also got a keema naan where the keema was very sparse throughout and again not like any I've ordered before. My partner got a lamb saag. Usually green from the spinach and a bit creamy unfortunately it came brown with specs of spinach through it and couldn't taste the spinach at all. Again many many Indians cuisines up a down the country and never had one that looked or tasted this way. Also the naans were thin and large (not really a bad thing) but the garlic nann you couldn't taste the garlic on it at all. All of this with 2 soggy poppadoms for £35 just seems like they are exploiting the lack of options in the area and serving sub standard food. I would advise if in the area to just go and choose a different restaurant and cuisine this one is not worth the money.

Food overall below average. Butter nan was good and the veg pula. Biriyani is the worst I ever tasted in my life, price compare to the quantity is not justifiable. 2 biriyani needed for a normal man to be sufficient. Price is is sky high. Tandoori mix platter was a joke menu says it is a plate of lamb and chicken and at the end you won’t find any lamb in the plate. Only chicken tandoori and a couple of chicken wings and they charge an extra 5 pounds for that platter than a normal tandoori platter. Ambience and the cleanliness is at a good level. Also make sure you have cash to eat or buy food as they don’t accept card which is strange. I suggest the restaurant team to try some real indian restaurants to understand the Indian food taste.

We had poppadoms to start which were very nice, freshly cooked and nice accompaniments. I ordered lamb madras for main but the chef screwed up and I ended up with chicken madras instead, I accepted it and actually it was very nice, albeit not very spicy. My wife ordered chicken balti which she really enjoyed. I ordered onion rice and chapati, both of which were excellent, particularly the chapati which my wife stole half of. All washed down with a large Cobra beer for me and several glasses of merlot for the wife, she said the wine was excellent. It doesn't look much from outside but we were both more than happy with the food, drink, service and pleasant atmosphere.

Not good. £41 for two lamb bhunas, two rice and one garlic naan to carry out! You just cannot justify the price for the very underwhelming food. We collected our order on a Tues around 5.30pm and we were very much looking forward to eating one of our favourite cuisines without having to cook it ourselves, especially as it was my birthday! When we got it home, the vegetable rice was actually boiled rice with frozen veg which you get in a supermarket. They charged us just under £10 for two portions, we could have made that ourselves at a fraction of the price! The lamb bhuna was thick and gloopy and you could tell it had been reheated. No signs of cooking or smells coming from the kitchen either upon collection. Just a shame this is the only Indian in Moffat, there are far more superior Indian restaurants in Dumfries & Galloway. We...

I called here this evening with my partner and I must say the whole experience wasn't at all enjoyable.

The 'restaurant' looked more like a basement cafe and had zero atmosphere; it was cold, had plain walls, red badly-painted woodwork, paper tableclothes etc

We ordered poppadoms and chutneys 2 currys, a pulaw rice and a potion of chips.

I ordered a Vegetable Lahori curry and I can honestly say I have never tasted anything like it in my life. I love Indian, Pakistani, Punjabi and Nepalese food but I didn't even recognise this dish as a 'curry'. The texture and flavour was just indescribable...thick, bland and lacked any spices you'd normally associate with a curry.

We had almost finished our rice before the chips arrived.

Absolutely worst Indian meal I have ever...
