BLACK SHEEP BUNKHOUSE — Hotel in Great Britain

We had a lovely, yet short, stay at Black Sheep Bunkhouse. We chose this bunkhouse for a reasonably priced room near Ben Nevis. Upon arriving, I wished we booked for two nights because the facilities were so comfortable.

Check in was easy! We were greeted by the friendly owner and given a quick tour. They have a mudroom, kitchen and small common area. All of these spaces were so clean, nicely decorated and included signage where needed. Our room had two comfy twin beds, bathroom with a big towel warmer, and a thoughtful guide to the bunkhouse and surrounding area.

Huw & Sam's bunkhouse is a fantastic place to recover from your hike at a very competitive price.

The two guys (owners) are super friendly and genuinely interested in helping out with anything you need (i.e. Laundry). They're 'wild-campers' friendly and they understand your needs.

The room l got ("Lochy") has an amazing shower (very spacious and great water pressure). The place has a kitchen and a small entertainment room (which closes at 10:30pm so no noise problems there and everyone can sleep).

To avoid surprises, know that food isn't served here so you gotta bring your own, although there's a SPAR supermarket 5 minutes down the road...

We really enjoyed our stay here, the room was a good size, clean and the bathroom was good with a nice shower too. The view from our room (Nessy) was beautiful.

Huw was really kind, adapting to our arrival time and even met us as we arrived to show us round.

It was a relatively short walk downhill into town but it is pretty steep so getting back up is a bit more work. If you have a large bag I definitely recommend just getting a taxi from the station.

We didn't use the kitchen during our stay but it looked very functional if you wanted to cook.
