Lovely, cosy little cafe nestled in the centre of Fort William. While it is small, it packs a punch for food and coffee quality, atmosphere, (I love the converted sewing machine table), and friendly staff. Especially the hero of the hour, Jamie, who was on hand cleaning tables, delivering loo roll to the toilets, and remaining extremely polite and professional despite some of the tourists speaking to him like he didn't speak English! Get that lad a medal! They also have a pay it forward wall for people in need of food or drink without the means to pay. Wonderful idea! We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

The girl working there had a really nasty attitude. I wanted to ask a question about the teas and she stood there with the most miserable look on her face like she didn’t want to give any time of any. She even rolled her eyes which was akin to refusing service by making the situation so unpleasant for the customer. I said to her oh you don’t look happy to answer my question to which she said ā€œwell, you don’t have to be hereā€ā€¦ racist much? What antagonism! Then she would turn around with a cheery attitude to all non-Asian customers. Such hate and prejudice here.

Don't let the ice-cream facade of the exterior of this place fool you, it was some of the best food of our 2-weeks in Scotland. Our group ordered the porridge and a few breakfast rolls along with some cappuccinos. The porridge was hands down the best breakfast item we had on our trip. It wasn't too sweet and the cinnamon and banana was perfect. We also got some shakes to go which were solid as well. I cannot recommend this place enough when you're in Fort William.

Visited yesterday 20/10. A couple was seated being served their coffee. One other person in front of myself ordering, so it was quiet when I visited. We had parked in the lay-by just outside in front of bus stop as you get 10 minutes parking for free and my partner is disabled. The female member of staff serving me was kind. A male member turned up out the back who was there to make the sandwiches. After using his phone momentarily he then proceeded to make the toastie sandwich order for the other customer without washing his hands first or wearing gloves. I asked politely how long the sandwich’s would take to toast and he said 3-4 minutes. I said ok as we’re parked in the lay-by outside just in front of the bus stop. He then replied and said well that’s a stupid place to park, which to be honest I was taken a back by. He then proceeded to make our order, we’re vegetarians, so had cheese and pickle. He didn’t wash his hands again in between orders although handling meat with the previous customer. A lot of cheese was put in the sandwiches and I mean a heck of a lot and patted down the filling with his bare hands. After the sandwiches were put in for toasting, he then came to clear a table and started to slag loudly about how customers never know what sandwich filling to orderā€¦ā€you ask them and they say I dunnoā€ And ā€what do you want, cheese and ham or ham and cheeseā€ I asked for an Americano with cold milk, we ended up with a very milky coffee, so more like a flat white. The woman said oh I put warm milk in there instead sorry. But for us it was more about the amount of milk that was put in. Both of our toasties were burnt on one side, which you could taste on every bite. When you’re paying premium prices you should expect a premium product. I was in there for 20 minutes. I also ordered some of their pre made items in the glass cabinet to takeaway as well and I was shocked at how much it all cost, it’s definitely a tourist trap. Unfortunately there’s barely any pricing in front of you for sandwiches, baked goods etc. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it judging...

After buying coffee for myself and my husband, I waited several minutes for the single toilet. After a bit, I gave what I thought to be a polite rap on the door to let the person inside know someone was waiting. In any public restroom I do my best to get in and out quickly out of respect for others who may be waiting and if someone kocks for me, I’ll let them know I’ll only be a minute. Well, as soon as I tapped on the door, the 2 staff member’s immediately started berating me angrily in front of a crowded cafe and telling me not to ā€œdareā€ disturb their customers in the bathroom. As if I were not also one of their customers. Had they been polite to me in expressing themselves rather than yelling at me it would actually have been a reasonable point they were making. But the irony of them so rudely and angrily dressing me down in a crowded cafe completely made them look unprofessional and in fact as a 61 year old woman, I felt completely humiliated and bullied. These 2 are definitely not suited for a career in the hospitality industry and should rethink how they treat ALL of...

I went to this cafe today and bypassed the vegan one that looked really good because it was busy . I asked for avocado toast which I have regularly around the world and it’s always fresh with vine cherry tomatoes rocket etc. This said it was with tomatoes and chilli flakes etc. I asked about which type of toast it came with and was met with a blank stare and an offering of brown or white… I should have known then. When I went to pay by card I was told it asks for a tip which is always like nails down a blackboard to me mentioning tips! It’s discretionary!!! The FOOD-, it was thin cheap brown bread with avocado which most definitely wasn’t fresh! I think it came from a TNS that you buy in somewhere like Costco’s. It had two slices of tomato on top and chilli flakes.

The toilet was next to the open kitchen / dishwasher .

I’m sorry but I expect more for the money they were charging. Feel free to give it a go yourself but it just was not up to a standard I would...
