Old Colonial by Marston's Inns — Hotel in Great Britain

The room was Filthy, carpet was full of dirt marks and hair, the windows was Filthy with corrosion so windows couldn't be shut, the wall paint was pealing away the bathroom had mould on the ceiling and on walls, I have documented everything with date & time stamp photos, I went away for clean air we booked a sea view family room with room facilities hair dryer, ironing facilities ect we got none, we never gad room service we had to purchase toilet rolls they supplied only 1 & half rolls. There was no hotel staff at all during our stay no reception just and open door during the day anyone could walk in, there is no CCTV throughout the hotel. I was shocked. We could often smell cannabis at the front of the property. We stayed there from 1/8/25-6/8/25 there was a sea shanty festival it was pleasant during the day but by night it was loud you could hear it in our room sleeping was impossible. The Bar staff was excellent couldn't fault them, but the Hotel was a let down, I have COPD & Asthma had they done room service they would gave seen all my medication, we did ask someone at the bar but she said the owner isn't here at the moment, so what was we supposed to do ? I will never book with them again! I have complained to Booking.com and soon Marstons inn will be receiving a complaint...

Awful , never seen such a dirty hotel room in my life Paid for a seaview room and could only see the sea in the top left corner of the window, more of a car park view Tooth paste still in sink and on mirror, sticky cup marks on table with hir stuck to it Mould ion windows, dirty floor in bathroom , mystery stains everywhere , carpet was disgusting and also dirty Drawers were filled with dirt and crumbs Doesnt look like its been cleaned in months - just changed the bins and bedding The room itself was falling apart with plaster and paint falling off the walls , seems along bath were covered in mould and missing bits The light switch was a bit of mangled up rope. Staff seemed greeted us like we had just spat on her when we were just trying to check in. Never staying in this hotel again. Absolutely appalling, all we wanted was a clean room with seaview like we paid for but £120 for that- ive stayed in cleaner 30 bed...

Check in at bar, not really an issue, room was lovely,sea view,plenty of room. Bed big and comfy. Couple issues,we ordered food using the bar code, didn't go through to bar,then when it finally came out, we were not impressed at all, the young girl who served us, was very helpful, and changed it to something else. The next morning at breakfast which was included in our stay, we ordered, and to our mirror, we were told that it DOES NOT come with hot drink, this we had to order and pay for...I have never in any hotel,either in UK or abroad, not had a hot drink as part of breakfast.. saying that, the breakfast was really good... Overall a really lively room,good also lovely, just a few niggles.. would def...
