Stayed here for one night room perfect for a budget hotel. Very hot day arrived with fan on in the room which was very unexpected. Very welcoming staff. Went down to restaurant around 8.30pm for dinner to find only one waitress serving. Running around a large restaurant and serving at the bar. She looked like she was handling things but did look extremely tired and stressed. But still made us feel welcome. Breakfast however was a different experience!! Asked if we pre booked. Said no didn't get a reply. The guy told us we could sit anywhere but he hadn't had chance to clear any!!! Tables of dirty pots that other guests had left. This was 9.50am he was on his own too!! Now I counted 5 tables occupied. Not a busy restaurant like the night before. But this guy was clearly struggling. After telling him my daughter had a allergy I was given a folder which I'm used to but wasnt passed to me it was plonked Infront of me and told me he'd come and take my allergy order. After 12 mins wait he finally came over to take my order. Telling me the wrong items of allergy. Good job I read the allergy!!! He kinda arguing with me that gluten free bread didn't have egg in but it clearly said in the folder it had! He just rolled his eyes at me. Now my daughter has a egg allergy I wasn't going to give her something with egg in it. Then I went for my breakfast. No juice filled up had to ask for that. No Ceral had to ask for that then I turned to see quite alot of things empty. Breakfast cooked items was filled but had to ask for everything else. Spoke to 2 other guests they said it had been like that all week. One went to reception to ask for help for him. Clearly he couldn't manage. Lady came to help clear tables for him but he decided to help her instead of filling breakfast items 😳. 37mins later I asked if my allergy breakfast was ready has he explained it had to come straight from kitchen. 2 rashers of bacon and a slice of toast. I had a reply of haven't you had it yet? No we had not. Spoke to a chef he made it her. This guy seriously needs help or more training on how to make guest feel welcome has I felt like I was being a burden. Even if I had pre booked for breakfast I would have had the...

There is ample free parking right outside the hotel just across the road from the boating lake. We arrived at 2.57 and tried to check in to be informed that the "system" does not permit check in prior to that unless we pay a 10 pounds early check in fee. At three on the dot we joined the queue of people also waiting to check, this meant that we couldn't actually check in at 3pm by the time time we got to the front of the queue it was closer to 3.20 I understand you can't roll up at 11 am and expect your room to be ready, but 3 minutes when the rooms are sitting empty, what a joke.

The room was at the back facing the golf course and much quieter than those facing the main road, all rooms have a king bed (60"), ours was quite wobbly. There are no premium rooms at this hotel so no fridge. Bathroom was small but clean, one issue we had was the height you have to step up to get into the bath/shower. Anyone who is a little on the short side, getting on or have mobility issues would really struggle with this. Wifi is quite slow unless you pay the extra 5 pounds for a quicker connection. Aircon was set at 19C and you are unable to adjust it, first time I've ever come across this in hundreds of hotel stays. We didn't order the breakfast but just walked across to the adjoining restaurant at 10.35 only to be informed it was closed and stopped serving at 10.30 couldn't even get a coffee.

Probably wouldn't...

Leah in the restaurant/bar part of the hotel is an absolute gem! She is coping with an incredible amount of work and still manages to lift spirits and make the stay really special. You can tell that she cares deeply and goes above and beyond everyone else, when really, she shouldn’t. I was so surprised to see that she was on her own in the bar the entire evening and then would be back in the morning for breakfast times. And without even complaining, she stands out with her incredible personality and top tier service. Despite doing the whole thing pretty much by herself, it feels like you’ve got 10 people waiting hand on foot for you. She is a level above the rest and deserves all the praise. If it wasn’t for her faultless attitude and service - this review could be very different and be focused more on the amount premier inn force their staff to deal with. Not that Leah would even complain about it - when most would. She just gets on with it. I hope the premier inn take notice of this and acknowledge the difference she is making. She is a truly wonderful person. Thank you very much Leah. Premier inn - your 5 star review is solely...

This is my first time staying at a Premier Inn, my usual hotels are Hilton, Holiday Inn and Novotel. Hotel is in good condition, rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable enough for the price. Staff are pleasent and friendly. TV in my room was on the fritz though and the standard Internet is VERY SLOW. There are TV ports in the room which let you easily connect laptops and games consoles to them which I though was a nice touch especially as some of the more expensive hotels I've stayed at recently have actively tried to stop you plugging anything into the TV. Shower is a fixed head over bath situation. Desk is big enough for a laptop, keyboard and mouse which i especially liked.

One of the smartest Premier Inns I've stayed in. Modern reception area. Big room. Air con. Nice big TV with wall mounted connectivity for USB, HDMI and audio so you can play your own media through it. In our room the Extractor in bathroom is very quiet, so you won't be disturbed if your partner goes to the loo in the middle of the night. In the room we have, there is a single plug socket by the bed, but no integrated USB charge points like I've had in other Premier Inns. The free WiFi is quite slow, but it is free. I got a pretty good 4G signal so I mainly used that rather than paying to upgrade.

Considering this is supposed to be a 2 star hotel you certainly wouldn't think that. Warm welcome from receptionist on arrival. Very clean and tidy and room was excellent. The only downside was that the window does not open, and this it is not because its broken, its because its not meant to. Apparently there is an air vent just as good we were told..... Errrr no I don't think so!. That was our only moan. The hotel is of a high quality and would stay again. Handy for nearby eateries and attractions. Would recommend.
