Hi my name is kirsty and I was wondering if you could help me.
I came in Wednesday evening around 7pm I had my female German Shepard with me
I asked a member of staff whether you was dog friendly to which they replied yes.
So I ordered some food and a drink and took myself and my dog out the back to sit outside.
Upon approaching the door there was another small dog at a table with there owner however this dog proceeded to bark excessively towards my dog (my dog did not respond in anyway shape or form)
My food and drink were brought out to me outside by a lovely gentleman and was very helpful.
I finished my food and my drink end let my dog enjoy the scenery for a while.
I was ready to leave and again I approached the door to get back into the building to leave. Again the same dog started to bark excessively towards my German Shepard for the second time. (My dog again did not respond) I proceeded to continue walking to then be greeted by another little dog that started barking towards my dog (my dog never responded) again I walked on and looked in disgust as this is suppose to be a dog friendly environment for people to enjoy. Both owners of the two dogs in question did absolutely nothing to nip there dogs barking in the bud. I felt quit defeated because had the rolls of been reversed and it was my German Shepard barking towards smaller dogs I have no doubt that I would have been asked to leave the premises because of the conception of my German Shepard being a large breed.
The fact these two dogs were a small breed made it feel somewhat ok to other people.
What hurt the most was there were two members of staff who watched this happen and did absolutely nothing to resolve the situation instead just stood and looked on at it taking place twice.
I believe when somewhere is dog friendly it should also mean ones dog should be behaved and not allowed to act in a way that could’ve potentially caused another dog to be injured had any of these dog gotten to close to my...
Read moreSo disappointed with our latested experience here, we are regulars to the Taphouse as we are locals, my Wife and other family members came in last weekend for food and drinks, my wife ordered the natchos to which turned up stone cold, so we sent it back with the serving staff and asked for a refund to which we were told we would have to email the owner Nathan to request this to which we thought was totally unacceptable as they had a supervisor on shift and she agreed with the issue with the cold food, so we followed the ridiculous policy and emailed the owner Nathan with the details of the complaint straight away. Unfortunately we have not had a reply or a refund for the meal that we didn't have. So we would advise if you order food and pay for it you will need to eat it regardless of the quality as you will not get your money back!!! UPDATE ON OWNERS RESPONSE. So after waiting 8 days for a response, the owner which was Nathan have refused our refund due to insufficient evidence of the issue even though his bar staff and the Supervisor agreed there was an issue with the food served and he also stated a after a thorough investigation with also speaking to the adjoining tables that there was not an issue with the food, really not sure how he came to this conclusion as he was was not present on the day. It's a real shame that he runs his establishment like this as his staff are great and seem to try their best, but their hands are obviously tied due to his incompetent and lack of customer care, no wonder the buisness is being run into the ground and receiving bad reviews, never mind Nathan, feel...
Read moreWe normally love eating at TapHouse so was excited to see they we're running a specials valentines menu, however our experience was far from enjoyable. The food was good, however the service was appalling. When we arrived there was a wait here to be seated sign, & a member of staff walked straight past us & ignored us, there was no "we'd be with you shortly" just totally ignored us. After finally being seated/ order taken etc., there was a long wait for the starters to come out & an even longer wait for the plates to be cleared... When our mains came out the plates from the starters were still sat waiting to be cleared. A young boy that can only be described as someone's child earning pocket money while on half term brought our mains out, he placed my partners burger down in front of him & said he'd be right back with my pizza & left, ignoring the stacked finished with starter plates sat in front of me. He brought my pizza out looked at the starter plates sat in front of me, walked round the back of me and placed the pizza down in front of the chair to my right & walked off, leaving the starter plates on the table, we ended up having to move the starter plates off the table ourselves. Now, we are very aware TapHouse is not normally a table service run establishment so we wasn't expecting 5* dining, however, Expecting plates to be cleared so there's space for the next course isn't to big of an ask. If your not set up for or given staff basic table service training , I strongly suggest you do not run table service dining...
