KFC Cleethorpes - Meridian Point Retail Park — Restaurant in England

Went through drive through, 4 cars static in front of me after placing order. Eventually got to window, paid and was given two cokes, thereafter the window was closed on me. Eventually server returned and told me to pull into car park. We had ordered 2 mega gravy box meals and 8 bone in bucket. Went into car park and watched everyone who came through after me leave. After 15 more minutes, I became concerned that I had been forgotten, went into restaurant and was asked "had I ordered", I said I had and have been waiting nearly 20 minutes since placing order, the guy behind counter said someone had taken it to my car. I returned only to find no one looking for me, so I went back, only to then get same guy bagging up my meal and coming out back door. I said it was a joke how long it had taken and he ranted on about cooking chicken....it's a fast food chicken joint that cooks chicken in a pressure cooker in around 5-6 minutes only this time it took over 20 minutes. I got the food home, chicken was fresh but chips were sweaty and cold. It's a fast food restaurant that can't do fast food it seems....it's not as though I ordered something unusual. Ate some of the chicken but binned the fries as they were disgusting.....never write reviews but this was very poor service especially when I was lied to that the guy had...

Excellent service and staff, spotlessly clean, food piping hot and not greasy very sociable to talk to staff. After visiting many KFC's in the past( some not so good even in my old home town) since located to the area and have no hesitation in recommending this one. I've seen many have a high turn over of staff with ever changing service. Every time we visit Cleethorpes Meridian point its been great, including today,. Special shout out to Lisa who after chatting to today has been working there for 20years! That says it all about how to keep a business running smoothly and would advise the company in my opinion someone who has contributed to 20years of quality service to consider a nice pay increase to Lisa to keep for another 20 years or atleast a gift to show your appreciation for 20 years undoubtedly hard working service. I in know way know Lisa as I'm quite recent to the area but to me thats some loyalty and service to the company and would hope that they make sure she stays for many years to come by showing her the appreciation she deserves! Sorry, not been before. Disappointed @ so much fried stuff. No salad automatically included. Such a pity that these places are designed & planned to avoid washing any dishes - creating COLLOSAL amounts of WASTE!! I saw staff moving many many sacks of rubbish, not separated into different materials. Very Bad. A Business Model totally out of date & completely out of step with sensible necessary logical Environmental Thinking & Legislation. KFC should have a TOTAL revamp & renovate its whole commercial model & operandi.# Just to avoid having a dishwasher!!# Was amazed they had NO PEPPER! when asked, but loaded our tray with several packets of un-necessary unhealthy SALT, which we didn't use.# Saw several unhealthy very fat people.# Tried to have a conversation, but we were blasted with a constant high volume of noise of unidentifiable apparent records. Loads of noisy sometimes screaming kids which was hardly surprising. Very disturbing for all.# Must be appalling to work there.# A pleasant change would be so simple.
