This hotel is clean and contemporary with modern decor. I'm giving it 3 stars because we had issues with customer service and options being advertised online that didn't exist in person.
Our room was much smaller than we expected, and we were told a room would be available the next night for us to upgrade to. However, this was never followed up on - and when we spoke to the person at reception (someone different than who we had spoken to before) the room was gone. In addition to that, the light bulb in our room needed replacing, and the man at reception said he'd contact someone from maintenance to get a replacement the next morning - again, that never happened.
I agree with other reviews that the online advertising can be misleading, especially when it comes to the size of the bed. The design of the room we had was small and very cramped. I appreciate that we had had the smallest room in the hotel, but there was barely any room to step out of the shower because the toilet is in the way. Not very well designed.
We wanted to keep our valuables in a safe which was advertised as being available on the website, but the person at reception told us there were none. I also didn't like how my credit card was charged for the remaining balance of our stay without giving me notice ahead of time. While I obviously realize I had to pay the outstanding amount, it was taken out of the blue and I wasn't asked if I wanted to use another payment method.
Breakfast was good, the staff working in the kitchen were lovely. Location of this hotel is great and centrally located. It can be a bit noisy because the rooms face the bus terminal and main road, including a pub not far away, but this wasn't a huge deal.
The customer service and overall lack of amenities in the hotel need to be improved for the price that's being charged. While it is visually beautiful, it feels like they need to refine their service and amenities before the hotel is fully...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at The Parrs Bank Hotel in Warrington, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped into this beautifully restored Grade-II listed building, I was captivated by its unique charm and elegance.
The hotel seamlessly blends its heritage with modern luxury. The attention to detail in the restoration is remarkable, with the original features of the bank preserved and tastefully incorporated into the design. The high ceilings, intricate woodwork, and stunning architecture create an atmosphere that is both grand and welcoming.
My room was nothing short of spectacular. It was spacious, immaculately clean, and adorned with luxurious furnishings. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring high-end amenities and a rain shower that was a delight after a long day of travelling.
What truly sets The Parrs Bank Hotel apart is the exceptional service, nothing is too much to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Their genuine hospitality made me feel like a valued guest.
The location of the hotel is also ideal. Situated in the heart of Warrington, it is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. The hotel’s on-site free parking is a bonus being in the city centre.
I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which featured a range of fresh, high-quality options that catered to all tastes and dietary preferences.
In summary, The Parrs Bank Hotel is a true gem in Warrington. It offers a perfect blend of history, luxury, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and indulgent stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit...
Read moreI've stayed in other hotels previously when in Warrington for work and this time someone recommended staying here.
It's a small hotel (only 15 rooms) I think, so it can get booked up quickly!
The pictures on the website make it look very nice and relaxing, and I can confirm that the hotel does look like the website.
The room was a good size and had everything you need for a short stay. Comfy bed, desk area with tea/coffee/biscuits. Nice bathroom with a powerful shower. Big TV (which was too 'smart' for me. You can stream from your phone, or watch YouTube , but I did struggle to watch actual 'normal' TV channels. Not an issue as I was only there for 1 night otherwise I would have asked someone for help)
The window had a blind on it which blocked out every bit of possible light (much better than any other hotel room I've stayed in)
However, there was a bit of light coming through under the main room door, and I noticed I could also hearing some coughing and other noises during the night. Room would be even better if they made the doors a bit tighter and they would then be soundproof.
Continental breakfast is included or you can choose to pay £10 for a cooked breakfast. I just had a latte (which was very nice), Croissant (warm and fresh tasting!) and a bowl of fruit. Great that this is included in the room price.
All the staff I spoke to were really friendly and pleasant, and it definitely feels more like a family run small hotel (which is much nicer than a big chain)
Overall had a lovely one night stay at this hotel. It was cheaper than other hotels in the area but everything was better quality and nicer. Will definitely book here next time I need to stay over...
