I'll start with the good. This location is perfect for getting around London. You're very close to the Earls Court station which gives you access to the District and Piccadilly Lines. These two are excellent for hitting all the tourist spots. Also very good for food options. There's at least 3 pubs and some coffee shops including a Starbucks. The rooms also have AC (at least ours did). Free Wifi. Tends to cut in and out but was useful. Staff were friendly and there's a nice seating area in the front entry should you need it.
And for the not so good. The lift is very small, though I suspect this is just a product of the buildings being older. Just be warned if you bring a lot of luggage or more than 2 people, you will be making a few trips.
Our room was..okay. Nothing fancy but I have a few grievances that made me rate 2 stars. The beds seemed very worn out. Hard to get a good nights rest when you're being poked by broken springs. The location of our room was unfortunate. We were in the basement by the "restaurant" where the continental breakfast is served. Made for very noisy mornings. Our room also wasn't very clean. In particular, one of the bedside lamps had a gross stain on it and a weird sticker someone had left stuck to it.
The bathroom was by far the worst part of the room. The shower had two shower heads. One on a cord and one on the wall. The one on the wall had no way of adjusting the temperature and just spat out cold water in the morning at first, until it became unbearably hot. As such, we were forced to use the other shower head that had a ridiculously high water pressure and had to be held the whole duration of your shower. Our drain was also extremely clogged. First morning there, a large hair ball surfaced up out of the drain which was revolting to say the least.
Other few small nuisances. House Keeping seems to come at random times in the morning, sometimes as early as 9. Which for us being on holiday, we were sometimes just getting up and getting ready. There was also no "do not disturb" sign. So, I'm not sure if there was anyway to signal if you wish to be left alone. They would also often forget to leave us things like toilet paper or towels. Which you would think we be a bit high on the priority list for guests.
Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. Though I would recommend the location for getting around. Hopefully, we were just very unlucky as there were quite a few other people staying in the hotel while...

As of March 8, 2019, NO REFUND has been given. The General Manager LIED to me and never contacted Expedia to grant us a review (My family contacted Expedia and were told they were never contacted by this hotel regarding the refund). Another lie in their reply was that our family checked out the alterative "accommodations" they offered us. The woman working the front desk never even told us the name of the other establishment, so there was no way we could see online nor was there a sign outside indicating the name. I DO NOT recommend staying at the Kensington Court Hotel. They have caused my family nothing but headaches and frustrations after taking our money and refusing to do the right thing and refund us.
We booked a 2 night stay for the beginning of February 2019 back in December 2018. Up until the day we were supposed to check in, my sister received multiple confirmation emails so we had no reason to suspect anything was wrong. After a long day of traveling, we arrived at the hotel only to find out that they were overbooked and didn't have a room for us. They also lost our reservation, despite us having multiple confirmation emails and a booking number. The woman at the front desk was panicked but did not seem apologetic at all. The hotel's "solution" was to put us up in an another hotel across the street, which would have been fine if that "motel" wasn't in such horrible condition. The "motel" they wanted us to stay in was 1-start at best, not clean, and had multiple reviews online regarding bed bugs. My family definitely didn't feel safe staying there nor did we feel like we should have to pay the 3-star rate for this 1-star motel. My family found another hotel to stay at which had excellent customer service. Now that the trip is over, this hotel has refused a refund because they claim they withheld the booking because they found us a place to stay, regardless of the condition of the accommodation or the fact that they didn't seem to care that they made a mistake by overbooking. I would not recommend this...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! They lied to me! They ask my passport, ask me t fill out the form and sign and then, they said they had some issues with some of the rooms and would take me to another hotel across the street they work with to a room they had ready for me. This other hotel was nothing what I was promised when I booked, no amenities, no breakfast, it was not clean. It was more like a hostel. Just totally different deal! The room was tiny just enough room for me to jump from the door to the bed an two steps from the bathroom which was just a tiny strip. You could tell there was dust and dirt on the bed. No toiletries, hair dryer, coffee maker, frigo bar like they say on their info, the carpet and walls were dirty and sheets had dirt on I guess from the window being open. It was hot I guess it gets hot during the day and that's why they leave the window open. How long it had been open, I don't know! Two minutes after a worker from the hotel opens the door he was checking phone or electricity. I didn't understand what he said. That was the last thing that I could get! So I went back to kensington court hotel and told them that was no the agreement i booked a month prior. They made me wait long and said they were overbooked while i was just seeing them take more new guests! I ask them to give me one of those rooms! They refused. I asked some kind of compensation as I was getting a cheap deal they said they couldn't do that. They ask there manager to come and explain to me why that was my only option. She was rude and said that s what they could offer just take it or leave it. I said that was not fare bc I payed in advance under some promise of service. She said that was there if I wanted if not that was my problem! She didn't give me the paper I signed with my credit card info, address, telephone and she just left because was very busy! You don't want to even take the chance to be one of those that they will send to that crappy hotel without previous notice if they are overbooked! I had to go and find a different place and pay more for booking on the same day!! Just please go somewhere else and avoid...
