Whatever you do, DO NOT order the mac and cheese. Oh my god, it was so so horrible. This is literally my favorite food and a classic pub food so I thought they’d do it well… let me tell you, I couldn’t even bring myself to take a picture because it looked like vomit. It arrived in a pool of white cloudy WATER around it that had separated from the dish. I tasted it and it was SOUR, the cheese was rotten.
I did appreciate that they took it back and let me order something else, but it was only after much complaining and explaining that it was sour - originally they told me the water was normal and it’s how it’s supposed to be, and I had to speak with two different people. Zero apology or acknowledgment.
The service left much to be desired. There was definitely a language barrier, they have a zero proof dark and stormy, when I ordered the “non alcoholic dark and stormy” the lady looked at me with a confused stare and had no idea what I was talking about. When I finally remembered the menu name (“clean and stormy”,) I said it’s a mocktail and she said no it’s a cocktail. I said no it’s a mocktail it’s zero alcohol. She looked confused then pulled out a binder and the paper recipe. Glanced at it and then I’m pretty sure she just poured me a plain ginger ale, I couldn’t taste any of the other ingredients not even the lime juice, let alone the zero proof rum. And it was 8 GBP.
This same lady also then demanded I pay cash which I told her I don’t have. She gave some complicated story about how she messed up the prior order and how I need to please try to find cash. I was visiting from out of town so I said ok then I won’t be able to order and went and sat with my friend who already had his food. About 15min later she called me up to the counter.
Considering the poor service and horrible food I would not recommend this place. The only saving grace is the location and fun teal walls, but there are way better pubs in London with much better food. By the way, this was also quite expensive relative to the quality. My ginger ale and appetizer portion of mac and cheese...

The nearest Tube is Earls Court which is a few minutes amble away. This area of London used to be called Kangaroo Valley due to the amount of Aussies that settled in the area in the 50’s and 60’s. It’s not to often you’ll see a hat with cork’s dangling around here today. . There has been a pub on this corner of SW5 since the mid 19th Century. The building is impressive but I’m not a fan of this uniformed Greene King signage as I feel it takes away from the individuality of their pubs. . The decor like the outside is also Greene King uniformed and the bar is traditionally decorated. This is a good size boozer with a decent size bar. There is plenty of seating with poser tables at the front at comfy leather banquettes at the back. . The beer choice was good and included five cask ales. I decided on an Estrella which came in at £6.70, my pint was nice but come on guys, the price point is way overpriced. The food menu is full of pub grub classics, Fish & Chips costs £15.29. . I arrived not long after opening and the pub was calm and relaxed. I was served by a very nice lady behind the ramp who was all smiles, so was I until I paid! There was a family group dining at the back of the pub and a solitary drinker caressing a large glass of wine at the front. The soundtrack was chilled soulful tunes which was a nice backdrop. This pub shows live sport, there was no sport on at the TV at the time of visiting, instead I had John & Lisa’s weekend kitchen on mute, the soufflé did look good and it was a bit ironic that there was an Aussie on the box. . Overall my experience was good based on the service, beer quality and ambience. Price point is tourist trap range and for me the Green King signage needs to change. . ℹ️ Info correct on...

Pretty chill little corner pub which has all the usual faves but a couple surprises (I had the impossible nuggets here and they were pretty good). Counter service only which can be a bit awkward when it gets busy in this spot. I visited many places in London and surrounding and this was the only pub that only did counter service. When a space gets busy this can make it very hard to order. An occasional check in at your table would be quite nice, and only takes a few seconds. This also makes the bar inaccessible if you have mobility issues. I think this is important to bring up for others who may want to take that into account!
I saw some very interesting characters having a pint in here too, so it makes for good people watching. I did not judge any of the patrons especially not by their looks, but some of their behavior was erratic. As a single woman out in the evening with my sister, I take my security VERY seriously. Erratically behaved patrons can make that difficult, especially when you are traveling. Nothing happened thankfully, but it also didn't feel like the best place to stay all night, given the fact that, once again, I visited many places in London and surrounding and never felt unsafe or out of sorts, except when I came here.
Out of the other pubs I saw, this one was the less memorable but it was cozy, quick, and the food was good. **after the response I received from the business however, I can't in good faith endorse this place as a spot to check out. There are many other better options! Stay...
