I would love the staff here to try and understand how powerless a person feels when they have a serious mental health condition that makes it difficult to manage day to day life especially when the medication necessary to manage the condition is so unhelpfully withheld. The staff barely look you in the eye when they speak and make you feel like a bad person or a problem for every gentle enquiry as to the status of the prescription. It amazes me that people who are technically working in an industry to help people can be so rude and unkind. Every month getting my prescription gets worse and worse. It is NEVER ready despite how many days I leave between it being sent and picking it up. Even when I ask how long it will take them to get it ready and offer to come back in that time they still donât have it ready. Today I wasted three hours of my time going backwards and forwards to boots each time being given a different and incorrect time frame. This is frustrating at best and disastrous at worst for someone like me. âNot all disabilities can be seenâ is a very true statement and it would be nice if staff working at a pharmacy could bear...
Read moreHad to wait for long even though i ordered and paid online. I was asked to stay in the queue first(which was long) and again some more time until someone comes to get my order details. The girl (definitely not the manager) who was working at the cashier was efficient and that was the only counter open. A Supervisor or a Manager (a lady) was doing stocks even though there was a queue and did not open the second counter. I have placed online orders before as well and nobody asked me to stay at the back of a long queue when i came to collect my stuff. There was no security guard (they usually have one) or whatsoever. And then a guy came to get the order details and got the order. This is my first negative experience with Boots Earlâs Court, hope the Manager would pay more attention to their customers as we do not place our orders and pay beforehand just to stay in queues for so long, FYI. Not sure if theyâre having staff issue, however thatâs not the customerâs issue. Hope the experience would be better next time. 5 stars for those employees who were...
Read moreA very disappointing experience. I was already feeling unwell and just wanted to get my medication as soon as I received the GPâs prescription. The GP said Boots would usually call me, but I could also check in-store if they had the medicine in stock. So I went.
I politely smiled and asked the pharmacist if it was possible to collect the prescription before receiving the call. Instead of helping, the pharmacist lectured me, saying I shouldâve just asked if it was in stock, and questioned when I got the prescription. I said I had just received it, and he harshly responded, âIf you just got it, how could we have called you already?â â which completely misunderstood my intention.
I was being friendly and never complained, just genuinely asking. Being treated this way when I was already sick made me feel really upset. I read in other comments that they have been schooled by pharmacists here as well. I would say it definitely needs to...
