So sad. But I have to agree with everything the previous reviewer has said. Staff morale in this store is at an all time low. No-one seems to be interested in customers any more (except Adam and one other English lady). The new till system means that there is a long queue of people getting ever more irate because they want to pay cash. The staff push past you without a word of apology and when you want to buy a banana - shock horror - you are told, in a perfunctory manner, that 'You are at the wrong till'. And no unsliced bread any more (to speed up the staleing process, I assume). I am now 12 minutes into their awful 'Customer service' line and no answer, only someone with a very faint grasp of spoken English putting me on hold. Avoid!

M&S are now pushing āhow little filling can you put in a sandwich and still not contravene the tradeās description actā to the limit. Ā£4.50 for a beef and horseradish and itās a) tasteless and b) not enough to feed an eight year old. Shopping there...

I understand itās a small local food court anyway. There were foods after the ābest beforeā date on the shelf! For example the tofu the sell were expired on 16 Dec when I visited a week later than this date! Also the chestnut. They were on the shelf with no reduced tag. Be careful! Check the date on the package! ( Iām sure itās okay for chestnut to be after the ābest beforeā date but definitely not for the tofu!
Even worse now. You are not cheap, M&S. But your staff got arrogant attitude now. Waitrose is as expensive as M&S but it got better staff. This branch got worse and worse after they got rid of all the cashiers. Now you need to scan everything and when thereās some problem you have to bear with their staffās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnbelievable! I just dropped in on my way home from the gym to pick up a few things when I noticed I was being followed around the store by not only one member of staff but 2! By the time I reached the check out both of them were standing nearby staring straight at me making me feel very uncomfortable. It was so surreal I started filming them on my iPhone and after paying I confronted the woman, apparently the store manager called Anna an incredibly rude and arrogant woman who confirmed my suspicion. Is this really how M&S treat their loyal paying customers? Itās a disgrace! I just looked at some other reviews and found I wasnāt the only customer who felt that the staff here are in need of some customer service training. I think Anna thought she was working for MI5 lol....
