We travel almost every month in different countries. We've stayed from 3 to 5 star hotels but never in aparthotels. We don't request for our rooms to be tidied up very often. Usually in a week stay, we'd request tidying up our room once, very seldom twice a week. If it's 4 to 5 nights, having the room clean once is enough.
Yesterday, I hang the sign at 8:30 am saying that we need cleaning. The sign says it should be placed outside the door before 10:30 am. We came back at the hotel and the room was not clean. I asked my husband to asked at the reception for new towels and for someone to take out the trash since no one cleaned our room. This morning at 4:45 before we head to Brussels, we hang the sign again asking for cleaning service. Due to delays to our trip, we decided to go back to London. I was back at our room around 1 pm. The room was not cleaned. I was thinking that it was easy to overlook the sign at our room since it was located in the corner. I went down to the reception and asked. The receptionist asked the cleaner if she can include our room in her list. Then the cleaner REACTED as if the request was made late that she could no longer accomodate the request. So surprised of the cleaner's reaction and how reluctant she was. I explained that we requested yesterday for cleaning service but we did not get it eventhough we hang the sign at 8:30 am. The cleaner said that cleaning service depends on the room and asked the reception if it was weekly stay. The receptionist said it was 4 night stay. The cleaner said she can clean the room tomorrow which is no longer needed since we will be checking out. The cleaner said she could bring towels, tissue paper and take out the trash. But didn't have time for cleaning our room. I mentioned that someone from the reception last night took out the trash when my husband mentioned that our room was not cleaned. Then the cleaner and the receptionist responded that if it's towels and tissue paper, I can get it anytime at the reception. These 2 totally missed the point. So I did not argue anymore. I instead inquire through aparthotels Whatsup regarding their policy in cleaning the room since this is the first time we stayed at aparthotel. A simple inquiry that can be answered by their customer service representative right then and there, but up to now I have not receive any response.
We just tried aparthotel since my husband and I will be in London almost every month and will be staying a week up to 10 days. We want to sometimes cook dinner or prepare breakfast in our room while we are in London. This is only possible in aparthotel or AirBnB. Good thing we experienced this before booking our stay for next...
Read moreI usually stay in central London, but this time I chose Roomzzz Stratford because I was driving—and it turned out to be a great decision. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had lovely views from the windows. The kitchen setup was well thought out and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
It’s about a 15-minute walk from the nearest tube station, but the location has its perks. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and Stratford Centre is just around the corner if you’re in the mood for shopping. Getting into central London is easy via the Elizabeth line—roughly 15 to 20 minutes, which worked well for me.
One nice touch was the complimentary coffee and croissant available downstairs in the morning—a simple but appreciated gesture. While parking is available at the property, I had my own arrangements just a couple of minutes away, which made things even easier.
Overall, Roomzzz Stratford offers a spacious and relaxed alternative to the hustle of central London. Ideal if you’re driving into the city or looking for a quieter base with good connections and...
Read moreStayed here on the weekend with my partner and I must say we was very underwhelmed by this hotel. The initial check-in seemed basic and bland, we wasn’t informed of the shop essentials, where the gym was or opening times, or the coffee shop which is all basic things we should know. I left a request for a room with a bath as we had recently had a bereavement and was looking for something very relaxing, however this was not discussed with us even if it could not be accommodated. We was given an accessible bathroom which I hate and I found it to be quite unsafe with nothing to hold onto, as I also have arthritis in my legs and suffer with fibromyalgia I did not find this at all safe even for someone who requires an accessible bathroom. Overall, I did not find the staff friendly as it didn’t appear that anyone wanted to be there. For the price we paid and even choosing an upgraded room from the neo studio, we just expected a bit more and unfortunately this hotel did not meet our expectations for the relaxing break we were after. If felt like we were just renting a b&b...
