First Impression — Local services in London

I have been their long-term customers since the mid 2000s when I attended my secondary school, to which my mum introduced me to the owner to present, but nowadays I come few to this salon. They're OK but sometime their employees come or go elsewhere in their careers. However, I wished some of their hairstylists (included some new ones) would be creative and accurate (come close) to my choice hairstyle when it come to braids or cornrows hairstyles for my medium or short natural hair which I mostly chose and I bring my own hair products and conditions to low the cost which I'm paid for the price is around £50 (I have a special discount since I'm a long term customer and personal connected) something under £100 since 2020. And yes, their price ranges have been changed since the mid 2000s to 2010s to 2019, which was affordable at the time. I'm not interested in going over budget for £100 for my own hair with First Impressions Stratford with their extended and other complex hairstyles, and I have one time experience over budget (I paid £110, I think) in my past review on StylebyFola Stratford in Google Map app, which led me to have second thought when it comes to hair service and learning to be budget savvy and savings. Plus, they used to have hair magazines based on any braids and cornrows in the salon, so that is a lot easy to pick and chose which it's time saving but it's changed to found those hairstyles onto the Internet via Pinterest (or Facebook or other social network) or Google Image and then I need to send it to their hairstylist or the owner via WhatsApp. They would suggest different hairstyles based on the length of my hair to be more fit of their ability. Sometimes, this salon has few or limited employees based on their availability when I booked my hair appointments, neither the days nor weekdays or weekends. Sometimes, I have my hair done by the owner if she was at the salon or arrived in the area. And the time management isn't great but mixed, it is a problem for someone who wants nice, simple, and long term hairstyle to stay (with or without hair extended) for the workplace, social gatherings and other events to be finished on time and you need to waited longer. I have seen some customers go elsewhere due to these issues with time and prices and there's this one awarkard moment once the person which wasn't happy with the services and leave the salon, one of their hairstylists would stop working on their paid customer's hair and walk or run to the front door and started call out them to come back. Got my hair done by two French girls..the lady that usually does my hair wasn’t in. Let me start by saying that these girls do NOT know how to do hair. They were asking me for instructions on how to do my own hair!! It was a disaster. I got weave done and I left the salon with tracks visibily showing. Bare in mind when I first arrived I was waiting for an hour for someone to arrive. These French girls did not speak English, one of them smelt of fish and was doing my hair and it was a disaster. I’m trying to be as nice as possible but its such a shame because when I normally come in I get a nice lady who does hair good but I won’t be coming back...

Been coming here for years now and everytime I leave this place I feel absolutely happy , friendly , hygiene is clean , you always come out feeling a new person the owner is absolutely amazing , & the staff who always tell you what is best for you, to have or to go with , would highly recommend it does get very busy so would Definitely recommend to book an appointment but definitely highly recommend, this hairdressers...
