Have been here with my Mrs a few times… can’t say we have ever had a bad experience before. It’s a nice hotel. The standard rooms are actually great, and recently we upgraded to a Premier Plus room, which was amazing 🤩 the bathrooms are really nice. Overall it’s just a great hotel. We have been to the Brewers Fayre next door, but the service was not so great. We felt rushed to grab our drinks so just had to pick anything in a few seconds! The location is great. It’s out of the way and it’s just nice and peaceful, next to the lake, which when we are here next time, we will definitely have to visit. The staff here are lovely, they always have a smile on their faces and are always happy to help. If I remembered any of their names I would definitely mention them, but for the purpose of GDPR, I guess I should not disclose their identity, however, they know who they are because they go above and beyond. Though I would love to describe them, it is best I should not. I hope they see this though and know it’s them!!ā˜ŗļøšŸ‘ŒšŸ» The parking is great because you get a discount code and have to pay not even half of the standard amount. Whoever brought that idea in the first place, props to you, you are amazing šŸ˜Ž One thing I just HAVE to mention… whenever you go to the right of the reception to enter your registration details. I beg of you, for the sake of your own SANITY. For your own GOOD. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. DO NOT. LOOK. UP!!! Do not look up at the ceiling because I will have you know, I have not seen creatures that size in my 45 years of living. Now it was a good thing my Missus did NOT see it because she would have passed out. To anyone that has ARACHNOPHOBIA. PLEASE. DO NOT. LOOK. UP! ā¬†ļø Now if I must describe what I saw, (thank goodness I do not have photos) you will find spiders of every size. Every shape. Every colour. I did not even know it was possible to see THAT MANY in one place. It’s quite interesting in a way, but the fact that they are moving constantly, you just never know when one will drop into your luggage, or on your head. Premier inn, if you are reading this, please could you deal with this?!!! It’s actually horrific…. Apart from that which I believe I made a big deal about, everything else was perfect šŸ˜†

Beautiful new Premier Inn. They’re having teething issues as you might expect from a new hotel but the staff were really friendly and made up for this. Mobile phone signal is poor inside but the free Wi-Fi makes up for this. Air conditioning in even the basic rooms, and a HDMI port under the TV for connecting your laptop or even console. Overnight was quiet and good insulation from outside noise. Cleaning for a multi night stay is only if you ask for it which is fine. The main reason for the loss of a star, is the cost of parking. Overnight it’s going to set you back at least Ā£4.50/night. It’s a shame. I presume that they don’t own the actual car park land to make the hotel cheaper, but it’s just a stinger on multi-night stays. My Tuesday night price was Ā£100 before parking. If you take the cost of parking into account, and accept it, this is a great hotel.

I have stayed at Premier Inn Willen lake a few times. However, my most recent stay(August 2025) has put me off. I liked this hotel because it was new and modern and the rooms I've stayed in previously have been clean and in good condition. We were allocated to room 205. When we went in we noticed the print canvas coming off the wall, the TV remote had some of the buttons picked out of it so you couldn't use it, the desk had deep scratches all over it, there was a screw drilled into the wall randomly and the headboard was not secure, it was hanging off the wall. I went downstairs and the woman on reception was helpful and moved us in to room 206. However, I noted that they must have just allocated our old room, 205, out to some other guests. So no actual maintenance or repairs carried out. Just trying their luck with other guests to see if they'd complain or not bother. Room 206 was in better condition than 205. Although the drains need to be cleaned and also the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work. It seems that Premier Inn do not maintain their hotels and just let them go so that they end up being shabby and ruined. Yet their customers have to pay the same price (if not more) for pot luck of if their hotel room is going to be in an OK condition. I've seen this happen with the Premier Inn Eastern esplanade Southend on Sea. This used to be a lovely, modern, new hotel. Now it's gone to the dogs. I'm really hoping Willen lake Premier Inn doesn't go the same...

So so. I don't think race back out of choice. The hotel was in a great location, and the breakfest from next door was fresh and tasty, but that is probably where it stops.

I'll start with check-in. We checked in with a human and not the terminals. The guy who checked us in seemed very miserable and needs some training on how to deal with people who are deaf and hard of hearing instead of keep talking quietly and sniggering when asked to speak loud and clear cause I couldn't understand what he was saying

The parking is a bit of a joke as I was informed if I was to use their discount, code parking would cost 3quid, it did not it cost me 11quid and when I asked I was told "nothing to do with the hotel"

The room on 1st impressions was clean, but the more you noticed, the floor was filthy both inside the room and in the bathroom, and the walls were covered in marks.

. The walls are thin. We were woken up numerous times in the night by kids or adults running riots in the hallways and people in the room above stomping around. So a rubbish night's sleep all round.

Upon leaving, after breakfast, the lady on the front desk just asked for the key and what room I was in, nothing else, and seemed miserable.

Given that it's a newish hotel, I expected a much better room and...
