The rooms were great nothing to say about that, first day we went it was young people on the bar and was stood there waiting to get served just got looked at by the person working so wasnāt sure if the bar was open so went to the other but either way could have said instead of just staring. Second night there was some serious drama going on until 3am with a couple downstairs we were worried about the woman more than the noise, we went downstairs and there was a guy called Paul working on his own for the night shift he did everything he could and was amazing he was the only worker at the hotel we didnāt feel judged by and was really nice he handled the situation very well because it would be a scary situation for anyone to get into especially when your the only one working and thereās a lot of drama, banging and shouting going on so we really appreciate him. The fire alarm woke us up so had 4 hours sleep with an interview the next day which was great⦠this aināt part of the hotel review they canāt really change this but youāll notice thereās a lot of drunks and druggies kicking off sitting round the hotel all up the road sick on a lot of benches and bus stops (we stayed Sunday, monday) so just be weary at night canāt even have a pizza on the bench for a midnight snackš¤£only good thing I can really say about the hotel is Paul and the room other than that I think Iām sticking to Blackpool if weāre going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStayed here before and really like the hotel, but recently we have had to find hotels with disbled facilities which the Lord street hotel says it has but not really fully equipped for the diabled traveller. They do have a lift but when you open the door to enter the lift if you open it too to its full opening potential the slow close clip on the top of the door comes out preventing the door closing hence the lift then won,t work.As we have a wheelchair there is no other option to get to the ground level.I called down to the receptionist for help as I could see her from the balcony level but she was checking someone in and replied you will have to bear wth me as I,m busy, in quite an unfriendly manner. Her attitude was a litte abrupt and I understood she was dealing with a guest I think she could have been a little more customer friendly. We then had to wait until I saw another member of the bar staff who I asked for help and he gladly obliged, but the door problem happened on anothr four occasions which is not really acceptable in what is a quality hotel. We did really enjoy our stay here and the breakfast is exceptionally good the rooms really nice beds so comfy but though the rooms are easily accessible for a wheelchair the toilet in the bathroom {very low} is definitely not suitable for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBooked two rooms for my daughter in law son and daughter us for my husbands 65th birthday. Given the wrong rooms initially,(given a triple ) they admitted that so gave us the keys to another room which had all the air conditioning units outside ! So had to accept the triple . We stayed in a luxury double ( was a king bed ) actually two singleās pushed together and the hand side ones mattress unbelievably noisy with every movement. Definitely needs replacing! The electric kept clicking and this caused the bathroom light to go on and off all night !
There was three teabags , three sachets coffee and three small milk sachets No bottled water at all. My son went to reception in the morning and paid £10 for four bottles!
We had stayed in a pub room the week before and it cost less than half the price including ample tea , coffee and milk ( fresh available)also hot chocolate ,biscuits and bottled water . Also shower gel ( not hand wash!) shampoo, conditioner, soap ,hand cream and body lotion .
For the price paid at the Lord Street hotel ( it was Saturday so more than usual as expected ) I feel it was a very poor effort by them !
Breakfast which although very good was served across the road in the bold hotel .
Disappointed is an...
