Where too start with this place . We came at 4:30 and the restraunt was pretty queit we didnt want off the lunch menu which the evening menu only starts at 5:30, so we had ordered drinks when they came we polietly said we dont want food as we wanted stuff on the other menu and with the time we was too early why the rush hadnt started she allowed us too pick from the evening menu . The food was amazing i cant rate it enough everything was cooked perfectly too taste and very pleasing too the eye our service was also amazing really went above and beyond too meet our needs and made up happy and welcome the atmosphere was brilliant and the pricing was good too . I really would highly recommend and i certainly will be going again as we often go too southport couldnt fault this restraunt for its food and service and all round everything its also very clean the toilets...

Slow and disappointing! 7 of us went for dinner on a Wednesday evening and besides us there was a table of 8 and 2 tables of 4 there were 2 waitresses on duty who did a good job I found the kitchen to be very slowly run and the food took ages to arrive and when it did it was very disappointing, 3 of us had ordered the mushroom starter and we all agreed there was no flavour whatsoever if we hadn't seen the mushroom on the plate it could have been anything it was so tasteless. The sirloin steaks were tough 1 was ordered medium rare another medium they came with overcooked chips and a watery pepper sauce - would not recommend, the fish was also found to be not up to much by 1 of the other diners on our table. All in all disappointed with the meal after reading some of the positive reviews on here maybe we were unlucky or maybe it was the...

Went Christmas Eve , and had a lovely dinner. It was from a set menu option 3 courses for £28 which for a Christmas Eve was a bargain in.mybook.We had various starters which everyone enjoyed. The main course of turkey with all the trimmings was hot, plentiful and generous serving of turkey. There was nothing at all I would change there, my husband opted for sea bass with curried mussel. And thoroughly enjoyed it. Puddings and coffee followed again gorgeous. The only criticism I would have was the speed of service. It did feel a little rushed, maybe this was because it was Christmas and they were keen to keep everything going. I will definitely go back there, I may try one of the special nights that includes entertainment next time. Thankyou Auberge fora lovely evening, lovely food, great staff and a...

Found this hidden gem down a side street off Lord Street. We tried the early doors set menu. The young lady that served us was great, full of smiles and very polite. The set menu offers 3 or 4 options for each course. The food which arrived very promptly was exceptionally good, so good that despite living over 23 miles away, I am planning a return visit next month. The restaurant decor is very classy. We ate outside, which was lovely in the sunshine, but I will opt to stay inside next to enjoy the surroundings. A restaurant that caters for those on a budget with its set menu, or those who opt to choose off the main menu, which in my opinion was still very reasonably priced as well. 5 out of 5 for the experience that we had on the day, well done Auberge and thanks, hope to see you soon!

The restaurant is big without any soft furnishings, so it can be noisy and voices carry. Some of the table arrangements are odd too, causing us to request a move. A couple after us followed suit! Another couple left because people had to brush past them on their way to the toilet. In fact, there always seemed to be someone brushing past! If you want a more intimate and relaxing experience, perhaps Chez Moi is a better idea. However, the food and service at Auberge were excellent, so it's well worth a visit. It's probably better for larger parties too.
