My family and I stopped here on our way home from South Dakota, and we made a reservation at 5:00pm because we knew we wouldn't find a room at 11:45pm. The women on the phone was awesome and understanding. Wonderful customer service. The gentlemen that checked us in was also great with his customer service. Unfortunately, when we woke up the next morning to head down to the continental breakfast- CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL! Now, I understand dealing with the public can be the worst job ever, but seriously why are some employees SO atrocious? The woman working the breakfast area was so rude. Her entire demeanor was as if she has a bad day everyday. Not to mention she made the guests feel more than UNwelcome!! The woman behind the desk was nothing better either! There weren't any forks or milk, so a customer asked for them , and never in my life have a seen a grown woman make such a big deal about something so little. She changed her facial expressions and started grunting as if restocking forks was rocket science. My advice to them- if you dont like your job 50% of the time please for the sake of your health and sanity FIND A NEW ONE!!!!! My family and I felt so uncomfortable we didn't even speak the entire meal. HOWEVER!!!!! Our room was super clean, and the hotel has excellent wifi! I knocked 2 stars off because of the terrible morning crew. Hope to get some new employees in there for the sake of the guest's experience. Nobody wants to deal with cranky...
Read morePositives: the guy at the counter to check us in was super friendly and nice. He was professional and positive. We came in around midnight after being in the road all day and he made us feel welcome
The lady working the kitchen area this morning (5.18.15) acted like it was a Hassel to be at work today and that we were on in her way. She had a poor attitude and facial expressions to match. When I asked her where the forks were (since the area where the spoons and knives were was empty if forjs) she scuffed and said "they are over there, I don't knw-i don't have any more forks - they need to order more of these" but the demeanor on which she said that caused me to reconsider ever staying here again. Rather than treating us as guests- she treated us as a hassle/bothersome.
The rooms are very clean - there was a fridge, microwave and kurig in the room. Beds were clean and comfortable bathroom was clean and we're were impressed with our overall experience. The reason for 3 stars instead if 5 is simply due to the kitchen area lady.
People make up the experience - people can make it amazing (like the guy who checked us in) or terrible - like the kitchen area lady. There are a million hotels out there - its the extraordinary customer experience that will make for...
Read moreTheir rooms were clean enough, but it was not a quiet hotel. I could hear everything from about 2 room over, even if the people were not being loud.
I didn't use any of their services except for the Continental breakfast, but this is when I decided to write about this palce.
Their "orange juice", I am pretty sure was a Sunny D type of drink. It was really really sweet and really thin.
If they would have labeled it as Sunny D (or whatever it is), I would not have cared but once you mislabeled it, I am pretty sure they are trying to pull a fast one on people.
Their Waffle mix had the consistency of that Sunny D (really thin).
The reason why I think that is a big deal is because many hotels started doing waffles at many places because it is cheap and something people like anyways...So it is a win for the hotel because it is cheap and a win for customers because it taste good
However, the waffle mix is too expensive for this place so they have to water it down...If they are cutting corners on something like waffle mix, where else are they cutting corners.
If I ever had to come back to this location, I would find...
