Pizza Ranch — Restaurant in Albert Lea

I generally love Pizza Ranch - in my own town of Austin. Went to the Albert Lea Pizza Ranch and I have NEVER had a more DISGUSTING experience eating out in my life. The restaurant was filthy, from food all over the floor to every single table, chair, and booth being sticky and filthy. As we walked in the girl behind the registered literally yawned in my face and I had to wait for her to quit yawning before she...just stared. No, "Welcome," no "How can I help you"...nothing. So not really surprised that no one cleans the place. FILTHY. I asked politely if they have gluten free pizza and her response was, "Well, you have to PAY for it." Um...yes. I generally pay for the food I order in a restaurant...RUDE. FILTHY. And completely unprofessional. There was a variety of THREE kinds of pizza. It was 4:45 and there was no soup - my husband asked if they were going to bring any out and was told that "No, when it runs out it's done." It was OUT before the dinner rush even begins? And then, to top it all off, my fried chicken was raw when I bit into it. SO that explains the food all over the floor...people apparently spit their food out on a regular basis while there. Staff did not come to clear plates ONE TIME while we were there, and there were only two other families in the whole restaurant. STEER CLEAR. If you happen to be in Austin, however, I cannot say enough good things about Pizza Ranch. Albert Lea, however...sort of a lawsuit...

This place has really gone down hill! Used to eat here every weekend. But I think this was my last time. #1- Waited about 5 minutes for someone to even come to check us out. I went to the kitchen window 2x saying we wanted help out here. Fell on deaf ears. A woman came off her break to check us out and gave us her discount because of the wait. #2.- every pizza on the buffet was some sort of pepperoni. The Chicken wasn't done. Raw 3/4s of the way through. Served fish with no tarter sauce. #3- with all the so called workers, not one could refill the drinking straws box. Completely empty with the lid off. #4- a girl out cleaning tables didnt have a wet towel to wash tables. Next thing you see is a wet towel flying through the dining room to where she caught it. Needless to say there were customers eating in the area it came flying through. Isn't that a health violation? I used to love this place...but...

Buffet is supposed to be open till 8pm. A worker takes away the chili at 7:50pm. I was gonna have some, but I guess not. They never asked us if we were done on the buffet. They were too much in a hurry to get home. We spent $32 on 2 buffets. We should of been able to eat till we were done for that kind of money. We will take our business elsewhere. The pizza ranch in Austin, MN is AWESOME!! Take lessons. Also pizzas not marked what they are and nothing good for dessert pizzas at 728pm. Very pathetic! Update on 8-8-23 Never clean the ice cream machine in the middle of a buffet! Do it at night or in the morning before you open. You charge us money for the buffet, and I want all the food offered as a paying customer! NEVER got ice cream due to your stupidity. If your gonna be that stupid, then adjust the price...
