I would have given it a full 5 stars, but I called on Monday to make a reservation for Saturday for 25 people for a surprise birthday party. Some of the guests arrived and the restaurant says, "we don't have any reservations for 25". WHAT?! So now I am trying to keep the birthday girl busy and making excuses, so they can scramble and find us seating for 25. They ended up giving us three tables that weren't connected to sit at, so it was awkward to have three separate tables for the same party. But the 1 waiter (should've been at least two for three different tables) they gave us for our entire party, did a great job!! He nailed every single order, except one that he very promptly corrected and returned. He kept all of our drinks full the entire time and was very kind. So he gets a 6/5 stars!! When we came through the door, we weren't even acknowledged, which I was willing to look past as the two people at the counter were working on bills. We ordered a house salad, a side of rice, a steak burrito combo, and a Mexican sandwich and it took close to 40 minutes to get out food and it wasn't even that busy. My daughter chose the shredded beef option for her Mexican sandwich and it just had chunks/cubes of pot roast on it and the sauce was an odd flavor. The rice was fine, the beans had no flavor, and the meat in the burritos was dry. The cheese sauce on the burritos was good. The floor was filthy and the booth we were in had very uncomfortable seats, the wood beam could be felt making it hard to sit comfortably. We really wanted to like this place but it was just not it. This was quite an experience. We arrived around 5:45 pm it was 15 minutes before the waiter addressed us. (Mariano) drinks took a reasonable time. Our chips and salsa were a long time gone when he returned. Took our order, at around 6:15, drinks were finally refilled 3 minutes before the food came. The food was warmish when it arrived at 6:55. We were never engaged in any way previous to the food arriving, and we had all finished our food by the time he returned to ask if we needed anything. I asked for the check and that arrived in 30 seconds. The warmish food was nothing any of us would buy again, all told we spent 2 hours to eat unimpressive food at a premium prices.
