Abelardo’s Mexican Fresh — Restaurant in Albert Lea

We came when the restaurant opened and have been back many times, almost regulars here. Abelardo's is by far the most authentic and great Mexican restaurant in town! I don't care what anyone else says, honestly. If you live in this small town, then you should already know that finding tasty and really good restaurants is not something you can find here, so to the people who are complaining and leaving bad reviews, it sounds like "Karens" to me. The restaurant has a good place to dine in, and it's spacious. Our favorite thing about Abelardo's is the condiment bar, where you can find the spiciest sauces, and that's our favorite! The orange spicy sauce is so good! It's unlimited drinks, chips, salsas, condiments, etc, like what other restaurants in town will thoughtfully do that for their customers? Name one?! We have had good customer service and a good experience every time we go. Some silly reviews and pictures were uploaded for reviews, so as a regular customer of Abelardo's, I am going to show you what food pictures should look like! I will upload them soon, so stay tuned! Also, I have never smelled urine going into the restaurant, even though the bathrooms are next to the entrance but I feel like if you notice things like that, I don't know why you couldn't just mention it to the workers and help them out, so they can help keep their restaurant clean for you? I mean, instead of complaining about it. I'm pretty sure the workers would "thank you" for letting them know, and not be upset about it. Why would they want their restaurant to smell like urine and be unsanitary? Next time you visit Abelardo's say "hi" to Jeyden, he's a cool guy! You can find me and add me on social media. Ill be real honest, like I am with every place that leaves a lasting memory, and in most cases those are the best moments, and the worst that stick with you, in this case it's some of the worst. I kept giving this place another chance, 5 times they have had the opportunity to sway my opinion before I wrote this, but every time weather in the restaurant witch feels so.. dilapidated, or door dash I've been sadly disappointed, besides the torta witch was okay at best, the meat is lacking flavor on all fronts, birra, chicken, asada, in the tacos, burritos, and even just the birra plate and birra tacos even the consomé had no flavor the only saving grace this food had to offer was the spicy hot sauce, only time I recommend this place is if it's past 10pm your drunk and with the boys, and ya'll aren't craving dominos or McDs, on to the next part everytime we have ordered this place on door dash they have forgotten the cheese for the $6 chips and cheese, or forgot to add the guacamole and sour cream that cost alot extra to add to our burrito, or forgot the only saving grace to the food, the hot sauce.... like what? At least remember the one thing thats most important to eating your food and it being even remotely enjoyable. That's part of leaving the review today once again they forgot the cheese for the chips, and forgot the guac and sour cream, so like 8, 9 dollars worth of my order wasn't received, AGAIN, and that doesn't qualify for a refund on door dash i guess. And every time I call this place they have told me they can't do anything about it I have to dispute it on door dash. I had to waıt a very long tıme, but there was only 2 people ın the whole restaurant and they were kıckıng ass so ıt was certaınly worth ıt 100%. Delıcıous and fresh tacos and the nıce lady behınd the counter was so sweet, god bless her. The fısh taco was my favorıte, fısh was crıspy and nıcely seasoned, though I wısh they gave me a bıgger fılet. The frıed beef and chıcken tacos are also really good, the meat was my favorıte part of both, they cooked ıt just rıght and the seasonıngs were on poınt. I got the raspberry churro as well, even that slaps!! 👏👏 I belıeve she told me they have a deal oh tuesday where you can get 5 tacos for $6? But I can't remember. They have breakfast burrıtos as well, I thınk I'm gonna have to come back tomorrow and try one of those! You guys should try ıt out for yourself ıf you're ever ın Albert Lea, though ıf you don't lıke long waıtıng tımes maybe ıt's not for you. You guys just need a couple more people workıng the nıght shıft, I thınk the food ıs good enough and you get enough customers...
