I came to town to visit family and friends. After check in....I went to my room to set my stuff down and to use restroom. I look at everything upon arrival anytime I stay at a hotel. I found the room to be pretty clean. The toilet seat however was not and what looked like a dried urine stain on seat. I told the clerk.. She said housekeeping wasn't there but she would look. I called a few seconds later after I left to tell her not to worry about it bc she was by herself....that I would clean it myself when I got back. She said, "Ma'am I just went....the room is clean. " I told her it wasn't the room....it was the toilet. She said I went in the bathroom, it's clean....You washed your face in the sink. I said again...."it was the toilet" not the sink. I had washed my hands. She said it was clean. She stated that if I didn't like the room that I could check out and get refunded. I told her ..." I'm fine, I told you I would clean it" She was being argumentative, so that's why I told her again. Anyway, when I got back....I looked. The shower had hair in it and my Mom said, there is a roach in the shower. This morning, we woke up at 7:30 and went to eat breakfast which started at 6. They were already out of mostly everything. Biscuits, Gravy, Waffle batter, milk for cereal. I told the front desk. She said the girl was working on it. We got tired of waiting and left and went to McDonalds. I have never stayed in a hotel where they didn't keep refilling to make sure they didn't run out. They still had 1.5 hr left. They should've made sure things were getting filled before running out. We waited longer than mins and it still wasn't filled. Overall, the room was clean and bed was comfortable. We have stayed here several times before without any issues, but this time left room for...
Read moreAbsolutely do not stay here. Stay at the motel 6, stay at the days inn. But DONOT spend your hard earned money at the quality in. My crew and I rented the double queen suite because there are three of us. We originally planned to stay until Wednesday but some plans changed so I extended my stay to Friday. When I went in on Wednesday I was told the room smelled bad and that I was going to get a smoking fee before I could stay any longer. The lady at the front desk was not nice about it, she didn’t let me try and defend myself even though I told her multiple times I didn’t smoke in the room. I told her she could look at the cameras and see us step out side on multiple occasions. I was force to move into a 2 person double room where they refused to accommodate my 3rd person. They wouldn’t bring extra pillow, blankets or even a place to sleep. So one of us was required to sleep in the floor. Their only suggestion was to purchase another room on top of the one I already had. On top of all this we left an expensive jacket hanging in the closet of the original room. When we confronted the front desk and they told us they didn’t have the jacket. They refused to show us the one they had found (in the room we were in) and finally gave it back after we persistently told them that the jacket was left in there. Absolutely the worst stay I’ve ever had. And I know it’s a 2 star hotel but these are things that wouldn’t happen at the road side inn. So save your money stay...
Read moreThis is an older hotel that has been remodeled. It has a spacious feeling when you walk into it. Free breakfast. Two snack machines. One is like every other snack machine and one is full of healthy choices.
Located next to a Cracker Barrel is a big plus. Walked to dinner. Gas station is next door with a convenience store. So it's easy to buy a bag of ice and fill up the gas tank before leaving.
Staff is VERY friendly and will fix any issues should you have a problem, with a smile.
This is a two story hotel with an additional one story wing. The hotel does not have an elevator. They do have downstairs accessible rooms for those who cannot manage stairs.
Bathrooms are large. Parking was around the building and easy to get to. Felt very safe day or night.
Another plus the interstate entrance was 300 ft from the hotel so getting back on the road was not a problem. If you're wondering about road noise in the rooms, there was none.
In fact, that was true for noise, in general, the rooms are well insulated. I could not hear the other guest around us. We were on the bottom floor and I saw other guest entering their rooms next to ours but never heard a sound once they entered their room. No TV or conversations.
Beds were comfortable and the room looked like it had just been remodeled.
The price point for the room was right on target with what I would have expected it to be.
Great place would stay there again if...
