Excellent hotel and location! We had a great stay here. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and I'm picky but I can honestly say this was a great place. The staff was helpful in finding the right bedding for us. We enjoyed the room size of the 1 bedroom suite! It was huge and definitely worth upgrading to that size for getting a bedroom door. The price was good too. The room was clean and well maintained. We relaxed until the toilet got stuck. The front desk kindly moved us to another room without any hassle, which I really appreciated. We chatted with the kind front desk lady and she casually mentioned management will soon convert this hotel to a pet friendly hotel. Oh what a tragic mistake to make!!!! I stay at Hampton inn because it is non pet friendly. As someone who has allergies to pets, I appreciate the non pet friendly policy of Hampton inn. I've been in other brand hotels where I've contracted fleas from someone's dirty service animal. I had an asthma attack and freaked out the hotel staff (at a different hotel) with an almost medical emergency because the room was not cleaned right from someone's previous pet. Mixing pets with non pets is a logistical nightmare that doesn't actually end well for the allergic people. Most hotels "try" to have some rooms designated as non pet rooms but the reality is that pets or service animals get put in those rooms when booking space is limited. Then there's the poor air quality and the animal hair that gets into the vents of the ENTIRE hotel. That's pricey to clean so those hotels don't clean it and the ENTIRE hotel stinks and becomes a built up bomb of allergens. I've seen some very dirty pets enter hotels and waltz around peeing on and dirtying everything in the lobby. Their owners don't care to control their pets because they're usually accustomed to living in filth themselves. I've seen this in real life so many times. With the filth pets bring and covid, your housekeeping and maintenance staff can't keep up with the standard of cleanliness to maintain a sanitary and highly rated hotel. So I quit going to hotels like Sheraton 4 star hotels that allow pets (I used to only stay in Sheraton 3.5-4.5 star hotels and I switched exclusively to Hampton inn because of pet problems. Hampton inn has a great brand with consistent quality and I love it!). I've seen how pets destroyed nice hotels and the pets were never contained to one room or area. So please, for the sake of millions of allergy suffers nation wide, DO NOT change to a pet hotel. Don't fool yourself into thinking a few pet rooms are ok. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Keep this Hampton inn the beautiful and prestine quality hotel it already is. It was so nice and clean. We loved our stay at the Alpharetta Hampton inn. I'd recommend limiting the rooms that service animals stay in to a small section of one floor. Service animals are just pets with a nice label but they can be very dirty also. To end, this is a great peaceful, safe, and relaxing location to stay with kids. Traveling with kids can be so stressful yet we had a great stay thanks to that bedroom door between the living area and sleeping area. It was great that we could not hear other people due to good sound proofing between walls. The hotel had strong floors so I didn't have to worry about disturbing people when my kids are active in the room. The other guests were courteous and we felt very safe with a young family here. As a mom, I have so many worries and things to literally juggle when traveling. I often feel like a police on alert so that my kids don't touch anything unsafe...(like the beautiful but dangerous indoor fire feature at a different hotel we stayed at in the past). It was a great relief that this Hampton inn was built strong and layed out to safely welcome kids. That helped us stay sane and enjoy our stay. This hotel made it easier to travel with a family. Thank you Hampton...
Read moreMy family and I planned to spend the day in Atlanta as a last vacation before school stated. I made reservations at the at the Doubletree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody address: 4386 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30341, United States of America. Upon arrival the lobby was full of hotel guest complaining that their room keys were not working. After about 20 minutes the hotel receptionist finally came to the desk, once I confirmed all my information I was inform that my reservation was cancelled due to overbooking, i had no previous knowledge of this, an email was not ent to me nor was a home call made to inform me of this, instead I was given a document and advised to go about 15 minutes away to the Canopy Midtown by Hilton hotel address: 1414 W Peachtree St. NW Atlanta GA 30309. Once I arrived at this property I was informed by the receptionist that the hotel was completely booked and the previous representative did not call to confirm availability at the property. I then contacted customer to find a location with availability, they made a reservation for me at Hampton Inn Alpharette/Roswell address: 10740 Westside Way Alpharette GA 30009, notes were put in the system in regards to my accommodations, yet upon arrival at this property the receptionist informed me that they did not have any knowledge on how to accommodate my reservation. I then called customer service AGAIN to no avail the representative placed me on hold for about 10 minutes and then disconnected my call.
I spent about 2 hours trying to resolve an issue I did not create. In the end I was left with no choice but to drive my family back to FLORIDA, my three children were completely exhausted from this experience. My family was unable to check into another hotel because it was past 12 a.m. meaning it was another business day and I would have had to wait until 3 p.m to check into a room. I am completely distraught, mortified and applauded with the poor quality in what supposed to be...
Read more🙂Pros: First I'd like to start with the fact that checkin was very fast and easy. The staff were polite and the hotel was clean. The room was clean, bed sheets clean, bathroom clean, and everything functional in the room. Parking was plentiful and right next to the doors for entry. They had functional luggage trolleys for our bags. The elevators worked appropriately and speedily. The mini fridge had a good amount of storage space. The king bed was comfy and spacious. The desk area was a nice touch and the rolling chair was comfortable. The AC unit worked great and held temperature. The pools were open and they had a nice outdoor fireplace seating area. Breakfast had a good selection and plenty of seating. Most importantly in my opinion, we felt safe at this hotel and it seemed very family friendly. We saw many families there. 😑Cons: They did not give us the room we reserved with two queen beds, Instead we were assigned a King bed with a pull out sofa bed. This was not what we wanted but since we traveled with kids we opted to let the kids try the sofa bed. We ended up with two kids in our bed. We also had no extra pillows for that sofa bed and there's no closet space in that room, just a hanging station. The next complaint is that we got a room at the very end of the hall near an exit door and we had to listen to the door slamming all through the night as people came and went. The walls are thin and we could hear so much outside noise. I did not sleep very well at this hotel. Also note, the water pressure in showers was not great. The last complaint is that the pool had not been skimmed at all. It wasn't super dirty but I could tell the filter was off; also the pool area had dirty towels...
