DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS MANSELL LOCATION!!!! The restaurant was empty and we wanted to take our family to have a nice meal. My kids are used to applying hand sanitizer when we enter a place. The owner told us stop as there are glass bottles around the sanitizer. I told him no worries I’m watching them they are just cleaning their hands before they ate. He still asked us not to use it cause of the sauces around the table. When our food arrived my husband asked for spoons instead of forks and he gave us one. My husband asked for more spoons and he told us we already have one. We had to explain that our children eat rice with spoons. He handed us one additional one as he rolled his eyes. We have 4 children with us 5 and under. The children were all eating while watching YouTube to make sure they don’t keep getting up. They have no high chairs to help keep children seated. After about 15 minutes my youngest (1.5 years old) was walking around clapping. There was a sign held by a paper clip and she pulled the paper clip to play with it. Completely harmless. He came charging telling us WATCH YOUR KIDS!!!! I was sooo stunned I honestly was speechless. I told him having high chairs would have made a huge difference for us. He then told us this ”this is not a sit down restaurant this is meant to come and go and not meant for children”. Meanwhile his restaurant had about at least 6-8 tables with 6-8 chairs each. He told us it’s meant for people to take food to go and that’s it. I told him so would you like us to leave as we’re eating and he said yes. My daughter started to cry cause she wasn’t done eating as I packed away her food. My husband had already cleared the table (minus her bowl) and taken the other 3 kids in the car. As she was crying I quickly picked her up and our leftovers and headed out. I accidentally left the bowl on the table during the chaos. To my shock the owner came running out after me telling me are you done why didn’t you throw out your garbage holding my daughters empty bowl. I told him that he threw us out of the restaurant and so I was trying to quickly leave with my crying daughter and our leftovers that we couldn’t even eat in the restaurant. He started yelling and screaming at us that we “trashed” his place by leaving the bowl behind. He then started taking pictures of our license plate while screaming at us in the parking lot for leaving the bowl behind. My children were in the car crying cause they were soo afraid of this man. I was fed up and told him next time you should place a sign on his restaurant that says “no families or children allowed”. Absolutely horrible experience. Soooo unfortunate that this place has incredibly horrific...
Read moreThis was our first time, and given our experience, likely the last. The large screen to order was very convenient. We absolutely love taking our time to figure out what we want without the awkward wait with the server. But the menu was confusing - it showed 50% off on sushi but the prices didn’t display it and just showed “(off)” Various offers they have on whiteboards didn’t register on the system. Maybe more importantly, the employee made a comment to us to suggest that we were taking too long to decide and that they weren’t happy they had to take other people’s orders manually. That’s fine, I can move on from that 😒. The prices were very reasonable. The salad was fresh and crisp. They included a small spring roll with our hibachis. But the rest of the food was sub-par. Bulgogi had a sour taste, was just not good. We got served steamed rice even though we ordered fried rice. Upon notice, they corrected their mistake. But even the fried rice was not good- had 1-2 peas and 2-3 cubes of carrots. They were out of miso soup and the one they freshly made didn’t have any seaweed in it. They make a big fuss about yummy sauce not being part of the fried rice meat combinations, but the yummy sauce we got with our hibachi was half of a mini cup. Why they just wouldn’t make it more abundant given the minuscule cost, I never understand. The atmosphere was family friendly. They also have reasonably priced beers. We just feel like there are better alternatives in the neighborhood to what we were served at UFO. We wish them the best and hope they can make a better first impression with other patrons. PS: They have continuous recording cameras and have shown to review footage to critique/review what others have posted on google maps. We get it, but made us...
Read moreI will NEVER EVER go to another Hibachi restaurant. The food is brilliant. The customer service is wonderful. The atmosphere is peaceful.
With an allergy to shrimp, Not only does the owner and workers use a different grill, they use different utensils that are stored away. What?!?! YES, THANK YOU!!!
My family and I are eating here about 3 times a week. I know people have complained about the small yum yum & ginger sauce containers, but you really don't need the yum yum sauce. Why? The food is seasoned and they add teriyaki sauce on top; however, I LOVE yum yum and ginger sauce and I always order extra.
The amount of beverages available for purchase ... A-MAZ-ING! This restaurant is worth the price. This restaurant is worth getting in the car during the lunch rush hour. This restaurant is worth going back the same day for dinner.
They better NEVER leave Roswell!!!!
[After years of going to another Hibachi restaurant and having to take an allergy pill due to my shrimp allergy before I could eat (because the restaurant will not use the other grill to prepare my chicken), I have moved...
