Where do I begin? Unfortunately, my wife and I did not begin with reviews, otherwise we would have know NOT to shop here. The 1 and 2 Star reviews could not be more accurate. We just bought a new house and were looking for a couch. We went to Daniels Home Center in Anaheim because ad look like some good deals. We found a sectional couch that we liked. Comfy, nice, and my wife loved it. So we opted to purchase with CASH. They said it can be delivered to our house in ONE week. Well, I never heard from them during the week, and to be honest, being busy with the new house, I had not thought about it, just knowing that it would be there on a certain day. That certain day came and still didn't hear anything, so I called there warehouse to see if I could get a delivery time. I was bounced around there and the store a few times, and told me they would look into it and call me back. An hr. later, they called saying that the manufacturer never shipped the sectional, and it would not be there for another week and half. DID YOU PLAN ON TELLING ME, OR WERE YOU JUST GOING TO LET ME SIT AT HOME ALL DAY WITHOUT A COUCH. They said "oh, didn't anybody call the day before?" .....If someone had called me, I wouldn't be on the phone pissed off cause I am still sitting on my floor..... So he said something about compensation for the delay, and he would call me back. Never heard from him again. SO, went to store and spoke in person. Granted I left there happy with some cash back in my pocket, and a loaner couch, both as a compensation for delay. So, being ok with a loaner and just waiting for my couch to get there, they called 4 days later asking if they can deliver my couch.(Which would be nice) but the reason I was doing things on Saturdays, is because we work during the week.... nobody is home.. they said "We can deliver today"..... OMG!!, what part of nobody home don't you get. Finally, scheduled for the following Sat.as in 3 days from that phone call. Today, they decided to call my wife....... 12 TIMES IN 10 Min. ..... When my wife finally answered on the 12th call, all they said was "This is (employee name) from Daniels confirming your delivery for tomorrow at (my address), in Anaheim. REALLY?? ALL that to confirm a delivery? IF WE ARE AVAILABLE TO ANSWER THE PHONE, WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE. THERE IS THIS GREAT INVENTION CALLED VOICE MAIL. YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE AND I WILL CALL YOU BACK WHEN I CAN. THERE IS NO NEED FOR 12 PHONE CALLS. I am going to be sooo happy to get my couch and not have to deal with this place anymore. EVER!!....
The 2 stars is only because the one manager "tried" to help me out with a loaner. Otherwise would have been 1 star. Not happy with the experience at all.....
Oh, and employees sit, literally, right outside the main entrance to take breaks (or stand around)...
Read moreI’m conflicted as I post this because Alberto was the nicest human ever but this woman by the name Ruby completely ruined my experience tonight. She followed me and my friend and our two kids after we walked into the store and asked if she could help and we told her we were just looking. She proceeded to follow us which didn’t bother us because she was just doing her job. I was at Daniel’s about a week and a half ago and Mr. Alberto helped me and so when I saw him today, I approached him. He told me he had other customers and if I was willing to wait and I said yes. Ruby who was already walking away at this point, turned and walked back to where my friend and I and the kids were, pointed her finger in my face and said, “next time you need to tell me you’re with somebody (referring to Mr. Alberto) because we take turns and you just wasted my time and took another customer’s turn” before she walked away. We all got so confused and I followed her and tried to talk to her but she continued walking away and whispered something to another female coworker who was sitting down. I asked her stop and talk to me like an adult instead of walking away but she went and sat close to the entrance all while smiling like she was proud of what she had just accomplished. I have been a customer at Danielle’s before and never felt so so disrespected. As a customer, we don’t know that the sales representatives “take turns” and we told her from the beginning that we were just looking but she continued following us closely. She is nothing short of a bully and she is definitely in the wrong business. Also, the fact that she got passive aggressive like that in the presence of young children says a lot about her and Daniel’s. If it wasn’t for Mr. Alberto, I definitely wouldn’t have spent a dime and I know I’ll never be back to Daniel’s! I talked to the “boss” and I’m not sure anything was done as this lady kept strutting around the store after that like she had just conquered the world. Thank you Mr. Alberto for all you do. They harass with every call, they don't listen to you, and they have the worst customer service I've ever run into!
Case & Point - When we originally bought the furniture (mind you we put more then 1/2 down in the amount of $2900) well my hubby is on social security disability and was at the time getting paid on the 4th wed of every month - then they changed it to the 3rd of each month (not our fault - but we informed them right away - they didn't care or appreciate that) - therefore, we are about 3 days late each month.....mind you.... 3 DAYS!!!! they harass you "to pay" in their words, even if you answer and tell them, they will STILL harass you. Well we answer our phones - and they don't work with you, we tried to change payment NOPE, we tried to tell them each time they call - they just keep calling and harassing - and someone will call back and say "you're taking food out of my kids mouth" or "that is unacceptable - pay by this time or else" etc.
They are horrible people, & don't care about their customers. They're sharks, not a company - BTW the credit company is RD Home Services!
NOT WORTH THE HASSLE - GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE - THESE PEOPLE DON'T DESERVE OUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!
I wont lie and say they weren't nice when you walk in and they have a great show room (hence the quality rating) - but the second they "got" our $ and their commission and our signed agreement - we've been harassed to no end - and don't care about their customers like they try to claim!!
We've even had a guy threaten to kick down our door ---- we've also had a "manager" say it's okay to pay each month on the 3rd - and then the following month the harassment starts all over (for 3 days - that's all we're ever late due to the day we get paid!).
It's just not worth the hassle - we cannot wait til our contract is paid and it's over with. But in the mean-time we will do everything we can in our power to make sure that even if it keeps one person from going to them - that's enough for us - and that's...
